Well, it's been released (do not link pics here at all folks) about Johnny Fiama and the whole of Series 7, and that Sal Manilla wouldn't be his pack-in because of sculpt problems but would come out later down the road.

Here's my question, if there is a likelihood of Bobo Bear (with Security hat and badge on a chain, clipboard and podium ??) to come out, one of my favorite scenes is when Bobo slams Sal into the podium for calling him a 'butthead.'

Will Bobo be able to hold Sal? Hmm...kind of a dumb question, but I wanted to ask anyhow.

Also, what size would Sal be, and can his mouth be made to open and close? Out of curiosity, what else could Sal come with? Would be a good time to make Ms. Fiama, Sal would sell her. That didn't sound good.

Sal will be coming out with some other smaller pack in characters i think - possibility of a Penguin or something. Due to budget i woudl think that would mean Sal comes out pretty small too. I'm a little dissapointed that with Sal almost ready to go, and Fiama needing work they couldn't have swapped a S8 character into S7 and put Johnny back a wave. I'm guessing Bobo would be too large a character for them to be able to include a pack in with him.

Or a Rat, Chicken, and Penguin in different figure pack-ins. You know what, though, we'd need more Pigs, too!!

Remind me, who are Johnny and Sal? Are they the green guy and the monkey that were in Muppets From Space ("Who took this cake!?" ). If they were introduced in Muppets Tonight, I have hardly any clue who they are (never saw MT)

It was said that Sal was the one that needed major work now, not Johnny. I believe that Johnny's face lift happened a little before Sal was dropped. I see no reason to hold Johnny back (sounds like a letter from a school LOL!) I think he'll do just fine. I don't see how a Sal pack-in would help sell the figure to anyone. We know he'll come out later so the people that want the duo will get them eventually. Those who don't know who Johnny is or don't care for the character would never have gotten him in the first place. Makes sense to me. And with the different paints, more collectors will buy multiple versions and extra MOC versions on top of that.

By the way. Johnny and Sal began as regulars on Muppets Tonight which aired on ABC and the Disney Channel. They had a brief cameo in Muppets From Space, appeared on CNN's Larry King Live and most recently had a bit on the Jerry Lewis Telethon. They also appeared in the Christmas special last year and had some great lines.

Yes, that's them. And yes, they were introduced in MT. Johnny is a lounge singer with a fondness for his mama. Sal was originally created for the opening sequence in MTI, but that sequence got cut from the film. Sal got clothing and a personality in MT.

He was in there. He sang a little part for the opening of the movie. He had a differnt voice. I think Jerry Nelson did it.

What's this about the Sal figure being made smaller? Why?

Luke suggested that Sal would be made smaller because Ken has hinted he will come with a pack-in of some sort. I don't think that's accurate information. I'd imagine Sal to be around Gonzo-sized.
