I heard of that! My dad swore I got the new dictionary with that definition, but that isn't in it. Why did it get so misdefined?

I think it may be a British term... I remember someone saying something about it not too long ago (a couple years maybe)....

On the back of my Muppet Action Figure it has a defintion of the word as well. Here how it goes.

Muppets tm /'mu-pets/ 1: a trademark of Jim Henson Company for a fanciful
troupe of famous puppet characters created and performed by, and/or for goods and services coming exclusively from, the characters at the Jim Henson Company [var - Muppet; The Muppets]; 2: none.
