Hey all,

You can watch episode 3, right now. It's up!

"In this third episode of the show, Diab and Clark are given lots of work and ridiculously tight deadlines to complete it, Newton finds himself in a very awkward situation when presenting to a client, Brian's given a wonderful career opportunity, and Jason wonders why he's being shunned by the office hedonist."

I'm really happy with how this one turned out. Thanks to my amazing crew!

And the commentary track is at:

If you like it, tell your friends!

I can't get this to load at all, I tried both FireFox and IE. The page comes up, but not the video (it won't load the file). I can't get it by putting the direct URL of the .mov file in Quicktime either.

Any suggestions?

I finally got this to work after trying off and on for a few hours...maybe the server was just busy? (that would be a nice problem to have).

I have to say that the more I watch this, the more I like it. It's getting better with every episode. Not everyone I've shown the show to "gets it" but the people who have worked in I.T. I know love it.

Do you have any idea what the viewership of the show is?

I fixed the link; I've started using a service called blip.tv (www.blip.tv) to host the video files, and I think that I linked to the temporary location of the file (it does some conversion after you upload); at any rate, I think I've got it going again. Thanks for the heads up about it.

Thanks for the compliments, Andrew, I'm glad you like it. I think it's getting better and better, too; episode 3 is my favorite so far, and I think that not only am I getting the hang of the characters, and the telling of the larger and smaller plots, but that me and the puppeteers are gelling, which is cool.

Viewership is tricky to tell, I think. I've got anywhere from a couple hundred to a couple thousand subscribers to the feed, and I seem to be getting a couple thousand people coming to the site each month, so who knows. My viewership could be anywhere from 100 - 5000 at this point. But it's growing, which is the key part.

Does your hosting service not provide detailed stats on downloaded files? It should be fairly straight forward to track that accurately.

I use Google Analytics and Feedburner to track the stats on my different sites and find them extremely useful.

Blip has good stats on the video hosting, but I am only using them to host the videos on the site. The feed videos are hosted separately, via podserve. They apparently have a better stats package in the works, but they don't have a whole lot to run off, yet.

Based solely on the server stats, and not counting the feed, I think episode 1's been seen by 5000 or so people, at this point. Which is cool.
