I am not sure if this was already posted here (if it was I apologise for the duplication), but Disney is hiring puppeteers for their "Playhouse Disney" stage show at Disneyland.
The audition notice is as follows:
The Character Department at the Disneyland Resort is casting puppeteers (male or female) for the stage show, "Playhouse Disney - Live on Stage!", based on the "Playhouse Disney" block of programming on Disney Channel. The show encompasses an advanced style of hand and rod puppets to help tell the various "Playhouse Disney" stories. We are casting performers between 5'7 - 6'3 in height. Must be at least 18 years old. The audition is on Saturday, May 24, 2003 at 8a m. It will take place at the Disneyland Entertainment Rehearsal Complex at 700 West Ball Rd. in Anaheim, A. Must have photo ID to enter backstage areas. Lisa Rank , Recruitment and Training Coordinator, Character Dept (714)781-4179 Lisa.Rank@disney.com
I know there are mixed feelings towards Disney on this board, but it really could be a great opportunity for an aspiring puppeteer. If anyone goes out for this, please let me know how it turns out!
