Hey Everyone,

We just finished shooting the Curious Kitchen T.V. Pilot. We put a lot of hard work into this shoot. The show is geared for children combining both science and cooking. The pilot episode is about whether or not you can leave eggs out of a cake. We worked with a great cast of actors as well as an amazing production crew. The puppeteers for the shoot were myself on head, voice and body movement, and left hand. My brother Chris Little filled in as the right hand and performed both hands on the more complicated cooking scenes. My puppeteer partner Stephen Bailey also had right hand duties on the shoot as well as performing both hands on the more complicated scenes. So the editing process will be done over the next couple of weeks. Once there is a promo or trailer I will let you all know. Till then I will post some still shots from the shoot.

If this shot doesn't look comfortable puppeteering may not be for you. It is also a good reason to like your puppeteer partners.

Well cross your fingers maybe you will see this on a t.v. near you.

Thanks,
Jon Little

Chef

While looking at your large photos I noticed what I thought was the puppeteers skin on the left wrist of the puppet? Am I imagining things?

Hey Jo mama yeah you see a wrist in one of the photos.

Most of these shots were taken during breaks of shooting. So we weren't too worried about wrists and heads in these shots.

You may be thinking why are the hands not completely stitched on. Well the answer is that we had several sets of hands due to the nature of the show. I had made a set of hands that were stuffed with foam and wire so we could use arm rods if needed. I also made several pairs of hands incase they got dirty due to the cooking section of the show. So The sleeves have velcro on the inside so they could attach to the gloves the trick worked great and looked awesome on video. We double checked the velcro before actual shooting and held up great.

I hope this helps you not think your seeing things.

By the way if someone has a way to do something like this an easier way please feel free to fill me in.

Just an idea for the gloves, make them longer so they cover more of the lower arm and you shouldn't have to worry so much about gaps and skin showing.
