If you know me, I've been a fan of Sonic the Hedgehog since childhood. And I also grew up watching Sesame Street. So why not combine the two and have a dream episode of 90s Sesame Street where Sonic guest stars? That would be awesome, in my opinion.

The episode would've aired in November 1993 to promote Sonic CD, Sonic Spinball, and Sonic Chaos. Since Ghostwriter was sponsored by Sega, and Sesame Street games were released on Sega Genesis, this would be a logical conclusion. Sonic in the episode would be a puppet, looking very close to the actual character (or at least Greg Martin's US artwork), built by the Jim Henson Company and only used in this episode. His voice was provided by Jaleel White and the puppet was operated by Brian Muehl. Anyway, let's get on with the show!

Season 25, Episode 3144 (replacing the ugly duckling episode) - Sonic visits

Celebrity: Nirvana sings "Smells Like Ten Spirit." (first appearance)
Muppets: In a newly-recorded segment, Sonic and Prairie Dawn learn the word "share."

Muppets: ABCs of the Swamp
Film: Wegman's dogs - Walkman

Street scene: Sonic and Rosita announce the sponsors - "A" and "10."

A new credits sequence featuring Sonic was filmed for this episode.

In the funding, Sega is mentioned and Sonic CD, Spinball, and Chaos are promoted.

The Sonic puppet would later be destroyed in a fire in 1995. None of the Sonic segments from this episode have ever re-aired on other episodes, however the Elmo A segment and the Nirvana segment would re-air.
