Hey everybody!

I need a little advice. I am looking for a good (and not too expensive) microphone for my laptop for voice recording. I am working on putting together some voice demos for myself and I need a good quality brand within a reasonable price, like under $80. I bought one the other day and it didn't even work once I got it home. It was a bummer.

Thanks.

That's the problem with computer microphones, sometimes they work, sometimes they don't, you pretty much have to kind of wiggle the plug in the port around a bit, push it in pretty good, twist it around until you can see it's working, then you should have no furthur problems.

But yeah, they're quite sensitive and delicate, you have to be careful with them,.

I got a microphone with my webcam. It has an ear bud that wraps around your ear, then the little mic hangs down on the cord next to your mouth, and you just talk normally and it picks it up really well. I'm not sure how professional it is but I have had no problems with it.

It's not this exact one but it looks like it.
