In Jacob's defense... this is the General Discussion section of the forum... Broadway would fall under the umbrella of "general discussion"
As for you Jacob, don't try to force it... if people care to respond to the thread then they'll respond... some people just dont share those interests...
Da Bears vs. The Colts... could it get any more exciting than that? The Colts/Patriots game was absolutely incredible! So, any thoughts, comments, predictions on what is surely to be one of the greatest Super Bowls ever?
I'm currently obsessed/ in love with the cast recording to the Drowsy Chaperone... Sutton Foster is incredible... some of my other favorites include: The Last Five Years, Spring Awakening, The Color Purple, Jersey Boys, Les Miserables and many many many others.
Shows I've seen include: Cats...

I went to a party at a friends house... hung out...partied like it was 1999... watched the ball drop... hopped in a car... drove over to illinois... celebrated the new year AGAIN because we had switched time zones... then drove back to indiana... went to another party... back to party 1... went...
Dreamgirls was a broadway musical long before Hairspray... Dreamgirls opened on Broadway in '81. The first Hairspray movie didn't even come out until 1988...
As for the movie... I can't wait to see it... keep an eye on Dreamgirls, I have a feeling it's going to be a big nominee at the Oscars...
I can say with great confidence that Legally Blonde will not be a hit... it is not targeted to a theatre audience... there are too many other good shows currently playing or coming within the current season for Legally Blonde to stand a chance. Legally Blonde the Musical will close within 6 months.
I'm just gonna go ahead and say it... and I don't mean to offend... but this musical makes me want to throw up... there is nothing redeeming about it... awful rubbish
Here is an article from today... but if you search around sites like playbill and broadwayworld there are several others on the show...

you may be interested to know that Shrek will also be turned into a stage musical and will bow on Broadway in 2008... this has been planned for quite some time now...this one may actually be interesting
I was browsing ebay and came across this auction for an original Creature Shop sculpture from the Dinotopia miniseries... it's got a hefty price tag on it but I thought I'd share

That picture has been out there for a while... it's from the song Welcome to the 60's... one of my favorites in the entire musical... which I'm sure Travolta will ruin
