Skits that made you kind of sad

One that made me sad is the one where Grover's mouth is stuck closed because he had been eating peanut butter. He keeps saying "mmmmmmmm" because it is all he can say. Herbert Birdsfoot comes along and thinks Grover is making the sound of the letter M. He begins saying M words and tells...

What sketches scared you as a kid?

It did not scare me only because it must have come out when I was a little older than most of the ones that did scare me. However, as an adult, I can see why it would be considered scary. The snake's voice with the lisp, his fangs, and his personality seeming somewhat sinister rather than...

What sketches scared you as a kid?

I seem to remember another version of this, possibly made later (not the female one). It had the same or similar sound effects to this version, but with a man facing forward or at an angle rather than directly to the side. In that version, his mouth kept changing shape to these sounds. The...

Thanks a lot! I have been waiting for this one to surface for quite a while now.

What sketches scared you as a kid?

Another one I have not seen mentioned yet is a live film from, I think, China. The people appear to be celebrating a holiday dressed up and dancing around in scary-looking dragon costumes. I found the appearance of the costumes scary as a kid, especially ones that had big eyes on them.

What sketches scared you as a kid?

I agree with you about finding it funny as an adult. It was a play on the old expression "I would forget my head if it wasn't attached". But I was no more than 3 or 4 years old when I saw the sketch. At that age I was too busy being afraid of seeing a detached head and a headless body to find...

What sketches scared you as a kid?

I have read through this entire thread, and one of the scariest ones to me has not even been mentioned. I am surprised no one else has mentioned this, but here it goes: On screen we see a man (perhaps one of the muppeteers?) against what I think was a plain blue or white background. Off...

Video: Fred Get Me A Twenty (20) Sketch

I loved this sketch as a kid, and it's great to see it on YouTube. Does anyone also remember the sketch about danger where a man is reading a newspaper while walking through the city, and dangerous things (such as a bulldozer) keep just narrowly missing him? In the end he gets hurt by a...

    Kermit explains feet

This is one of the sketches that scared me as a kid, especially the part where the man falls off the wall to a loud crashing sound. I would love to see it again, but unfortunately I have not seen it on YouTube yet.

TV & LP Versions Of Songs.

I agree with you about "I've Got Two". I also like the LP version of ABC-DEF-GHI better because it includes both Gordon and Susan. I also think Caroll Spinney sings better on the LP version of "I Love Trash" than he does on the original TV version with the orange Oscar.
