A survey at the Brand Licensing Europe 2010 conference chose "The Muppet Show" as the TV show with the best licensing opportunities should it be revived. It won handily with 35% of the vote. "Star Trek" was No. 2 at 24%.
Also in the survey, "Sesame...
As a collector of recordings of the classic Muppet Show theme, I frequently search Amazon.com's mp3 store to see if there's anything new. A few weeks ago, I found this:
http://www.amazon.com/Muppet-Show-Theme-TV-Themes/dp/B003U08AAE/
The "album," such at it is, has no performer credits, and...
I haven't seen a transcript of the official press release posted here (sorry if I missed it) ... but you can read it at the link below. There are more plot details than in the bleedingcool article.

I just saw...
I see no hardcovers on their website, so I suppose that answers my question. I just wondered if there had been any kind of announcement confirming that production on those had ceased. I suppose the first few must not have sold well enough to justify more, which is disheartening...
Hi guys ... can anyone confirm whether "On The Road" and future trade collections are ONLY being released in softcover from now on? I tried to search the forum, and couldn't find any info. But if "On The Road" was released in hardcover, I can't find it anywhere!
(Also, does the OTR trade...
There IS a novelization, by A.C.H. Smith, although it's incredibly rare. But I DO have a copy. It uses the aforementioned Chorney artwork, and he is NOT mentioned by name (although the guy who "designed" the cover is). Good thought, though!
Well, the OTHER famous poster -- the one of Jareth holding the globe with Sarah inside -- was done by Steven Chorney. And in fact, if you look at the rough artwork done by Chorney on his webpage:

...you can discern the basic...
Thanks for the link, Vic -- I should've thought to check the Wiki! A whole section on Henson bios, with errata noted.
"The Works" is indeed a terrific book -- I own a copy, of course, and love it -- but it's not quite what I'm looking for. Rightly or wrongly, I'm afraid the size would put...
I work as a Library Assistant in a public library, and the other day I came across a book on our shelves in the children's section called "Inventors and Creators - Jim Henson" by Deanne Durrett. I was initially pleased to see it, and displayed it alongside a stuffed Kermit doll that I had...
So I finally got around to picking up "Elmo in Grouchland" on DVD (R1 NTSC), only to discover that it's pan-n-scan. The only other NTSC release I can find is the Japanese R2 DVD, but that *appears* to be 4:3 as well. The various PAL releases seem to include the film in its original aspect...
Thanks for the heads-up, Kermie! But here's something interesting ... now that I compare the two, the Post Office CD features an ALTERNATE VERSION of the song! To wit:
It's missing the clucking chicken chorus.
The orchestral backdrop is also a slightly different arrangement; the strings at the...
While I'm extremely sympathetic to fans who would rather not drop $9.99 on two-and-a-half minutes of music, I think I'll let the struggling postal service make a few more bucks before I start bootlegging their product. But don't worry ... if this album ever drops out of print and becomes scarce...
I was at the Post Office today, and while I waited for the clerk I glanced over their annual holiday CD. To my surprise, the words "The Muppets" popped out at me. Sure enough, Track 11 on the CD is "Delivering Christmas (from Letters to Santa) -- The Muppets featuring Jesse L. Martin". I suppose...
My apologies if this is the wrong forum for this, but I would be VERY interested to speak to the person who purchased the copy of Trevor Jones' LABYRINTH score manuscript at the MuppetFest auction back in 2001. I thought that perhaps the person might be a forum member ... or maybe a forum member...
Hey, folks! Wish I'd been able to give everyone more of a heads-up on this, but I just found out mere hours ago myself! I'm new to the Boston area, and while doing a local Yahoo Movies search, imagine my surprise when "The Dark Crystal" popped up! Yep, the Coolidge Corner Theater's "Midnite...
