Thank you,

Back by popular demand, it's our third installment in the Old School series, covering 1979-1984. In this set you'll see your Sesame Street friends on and off the Street! Remember when everyone surprised Maria in Puerto Rico for her birthday? Or when Snuffy and Gordon ran the New York City...
Hi,
I have a curious question about both the target age gap (the people watching the show at home) and the age gap of the children (aside from the regularly-appearing kid stars, such as Miles) who participate on each and every episode of Sesame Street through the years: is it true that much of...
Is it true that each Sesame Street episode is usually taped one month prior to its intended air date? Some episodes were actually taped only one day before it was scheduled to air.
If anyone could give me the exact answer as to episode shooting durations, please reply.

Does anyone here know why this episode of Global Grover turns up on episode 4062 instead of the one where he's in Mongolia? I watched this particular episode twice on Sprout On Demand, and it is this clip where Asha dances on stilts to a song called...
I need help determining whether or not the solo on the "Pinball Number Count" segments for numbers 3, 8 and 11 is done on an electric guitar or, perhaps, the Wurlitzer model EP200 electric piano???

I know there is an electric piano heard in...
I wonder if we could petition to get the following "Old School" volumes released on DVD in the future?
*Volume 3 (1979-1984)
*Volume 4 (1984-1989)
*Volume 5 (1989-1994)
*Volume 6 (1994-1999)
I would be all for volumes 3, 4 and 5, since Volume 6 would be intended for those people who mainly...
Since when will the rights be cleared as to the "Happy Birthday to You" song during one part of this particular sketch? That popular song, about celebrating one's birthday, is copyrighted.
My favorite parts of this episode (first seen on episode 3826):
*Some girl is playing a kazoo made out of...
Does anyone have any remembrance of the 1992-98 period of Sesame Street?
Specifically, is it true that the original 1992 opening theme had Prairie Dawn and Grover ran through 1994-95, and that the version with Zoe and Baby Natasha replaced that one from 1995-98? Or did they alternate between...
Does anyone remember what the EKA (earliest-known episode) was that had this skit of Grover conducting a symphony, only to find out in the end the "symphony" was just a stereo with a tape of the Beethoven symphony?
~Ben
Hi,
Does anyone here have the full episode concerning #3828, where Baby Natasha keeps on saying "hoongie"? Maria thinks that when she hears "hoongie" she thinks Natasha is "hungry," and gives her some food to eat, but Natasha turns away from the food and wants her "hoongie."
Then, later on...

I am sure some of you here may remember this segment, what the above link will take you to.
This takes place at the Crayola factory in Easton, PA. This segment would date from no earlier than 1979 and no later than 1984, going by the package design as...
Does anyone know what season of Sesame Street was the first with the "funky chimes" background music heard during the spiel announcing who funded said program ("Funding for this program was provided in part by the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB) ... and by public television stations...
Here's what I believe is the actual dialogue (one can only wonder who still has the original written draft from 1984-85 for this movie) from the final scene where the Sleaze Brothers are caught, after Big Bird jumps off the truck onto the open hood of the VW Beetle.
Sam: "Hey, what's that...
What would you folks think of the landmark 1985 movie, Follow That Bird, if it had different cast members and vehicles?
Here is my take:
Cast Dan Aykroyd and John Belushi (The Blues Brothers) as the Sleaze Brothers. Why? Both Aykroyd and Belushi were one time members of SCTV along with the two...
Can anyone please identify what was the first episode Baby Natasha (who didn't have a name at first) appeared in? I do know she appeared in 1987, but what I don't know is whether she appeared during the 1986-87 season or if it was early in the 1987-88 season.
She is known for emanating the...
Hi,
Does anyone know whether or not these are the correct season start and end dates for Sesame Street?

Hi,
I am just curious about how the song "ABC-DEF-GHI" would sound if a Japanese person were to sing it out:
ABC = ab-ka = abbuka
DEF = def = defu
GHI = gi = gii
JKL = Jekyll = Jekkiru
MNOP = ma-nop = manoppu
QR = kwer = kuaa
STUV = styoov = suchuubu
WXYZ = wik-siz = wikushizu...
Hi,
Seeing that the show is now 40 years old, I'd like to ask you all this: what did you think of the show's first 130 or so episodes?
No one can forget this "song-and-dance" moment:

Or this moment, when Oscar the Grouch was orange...
