I actually watched it again recently (realizing partway through the movie “holy crap, this is ten years old this year!” lol)
It’s not my favorite Muppet movie, but it’s really great. I can definitely see it being a little too “safe” but at the same time, I feel like that’s what we needed to get...
Not trying to be a downer (again lol) but that was probably a bootleg unfortunately. I really don’t see any Disney+-exclusive material getting a physical release (Disney wants that sweet perpetual streaming money rather than a single flat payment for discs).
I liked it! It was definitely better than Muppets Now, but I’d still rank the 2011 movie, Most Wanted, and (especially) the 2015 show above it.
As a ‘90s fan, I was definitely missing the Rizzo and Gonzo pair. I know there’s nothing that can really be done about it outside of recasting Rizzo...
I always take articles like this with a grain of salt because who knows what’s actually true or not. Not that I would expect Frank to lie, but you never know.

My money is on “sEaSoN tWo Of MuPpEtS nOw”.
Which, I should be glad for any new Muppet stuff... but I honestly didn’t love Muppets Now. Bring back the 2015 show!
Finally watched through the last couple episodes. I’m really not sure what to think of this show. It’s not bad.. but it’s not great. I feel like it’s sort of trying to be a variety show.. but without much variety. I think it could benefit from more and shorter skits per episode. And for goodness...
Not bad but not great. The highlight for me was probably seeing the Electric Mayhem!
I wish the show had more variety though. Do we need a Chef sketch EVERY episode? And I’m so tired of the Miss Piggy sketches (it doesn’t help that she was never one of my favorite characters lol).
Some musical...
You brought up a lot of good points in this post, but I really wanted to focus on that quote about Star Wars that you posted. I’m a lifelong fan of Star Wars and I really hate seeing all the extreme hate that the newer movies get. They’re not even bad, but that quote absolutely nailed it...
This one was so so so much better than the first episode! Pepe’s game show was hilarious, it was great to see Bunsen and Beaker, the Swedish Chef segment was much better, as was Piggy’s. The guests didn’t feel as “intrusive” to me in this episode.
Is this the show that they said was all improv...
