well, I've only been building and performing puppets for little over a year, but I have an idea I hope would work for this. First of all, is this a hand puppet? if so, I have 2 ideas
You can can take a sheet of foam and create the whole body of the whale, create a mouth a piece where the head...
I bought it, and I watched the interview, it was good, not great, just good. You see for the first half of the interview, he talks about how he got his start with puppetry and with Jim, which is nice to hear, but I've heared it all too many times. He finally gets into the movie, about halfway...
Well, I'm taking a marionette lesson in my town, so I'm learning how to build and operate them in the process. This is what I've been doing. I made mine out of paper mache. I made shapes for the head, body, legs and arms out of newspaper kept their shape with masking tapes. Then I covered each...
does anyone know any place where I can get wigs for puppets, I tried to search for it, but nothing comes up. I'm specificly looking for brown hair for a boy.
nice job, that must've alot of work. I was going to do something like this, using Microsoft Visual Basic, where I would make a program dedicated to the Muppets.
I saw that, and thatw as cool to see, but I think he could've made a great addition to the show, but you certainly can't go wrong with Kermit being on the show, he was terrific. :)
I was just watching the Sesame Street, sales pitch reel and Rowlf was a big part of it, a little more than Kermit. It seemed like Rowlf was going to be a big part of the show. I do know that at the time, Rowlf was the main character of the Muppets, but how come he didn't get involved with Sesame...
can someone tell me what show/special this scene came from, cause I remember seeing it once before, but I can't remember where it came from. Here's the scene.
Kermit and Fozzie are inside a television set.
Fozzie: Don't look, but...there is somebody underneath me.
Kermit: What?
Fozzie...
Frank once said in an interview that the original script to TMTM wasn't going in the right direction, so Jim let him rewrite it as well as direct it. does anyone know what the changes were? I wonder what was different about it.
does anyone know a simple way of building an eye mechnisim? I tried to build one by using a tutoral I saw online done by Tom from Puppeteers Unite, where you use a metal hanger, but I think I did it wrong becuase the eyes move up and down instead of blinking. Does anyone another way of doing this?
oh, one thing I forgot to ask, does contact cement melt sheet foam, the kind that's also sponge-like, but comes in small sheets and in a variety of colors?
