While watching the World of Jim Henson, I was reminded about a scene from TMS that had Fozzie playing the piano, and Rowlf comes up and says,
:sympathy: "I didn't know you knew how to play the piana"
:o "Neither did I"
The whole scene is charming, whimsical and amusing. Again, Frank and Jim...
It's too long to post here, but all of the S&W dialog fromthe first TMS Album.
"That was great!"
:boo:"It wasn't that bad!"
"It wasn't that good!"
:boo:"It was horrible!"
etc...
Man, now I feel old...
I used to spend Friday Nights at Grandma's house a lot growing up, and I remember that TMS came on at 8:00pm, and I had to have a bath watch TMS and go to bed. I remember I couldn't wait for the "Superman" episode.
I had almost all of the Fisher Price Stick puppets...
If he had been Scrooge's nephew in MCC, then it would be almost "mandatory" to make Scrooge into JP Grosse...which wouldn't have been all that bad come to think of it.
I think Scooter would have made a good Jim Hawkins personally.
That made me giggle...
The biggest Jim Henson Creature shop "puppet"...what about the original Jabba the Hutt that was used in the Return of the Jedi? It took like 10 guys to operate him...
Who are your favorite Muppet duos? (Including Fraggles) and why?
Mine are;
1. Kermit and Fozzie - especially in TMS, they were alot like Abbot and Costello, their comedic timing was impeccable! Probably because Jim and Frank worked together for a long time even before that!
2. Gonzo and...
Last night I had a dream that echoed bouncingbabyfig's. I found myself in a white room, with really comfortable furniture. (Overstuffed leather couches and such) and I felt a warm "glowy" feeling in my heart, and Jim walks in, and says, "So, you want to be a puppeteer? Ok, well, let's get...
Sorry for reviving this thread, but since I am new I wanted to "put in my $0.02".
I can sum it up in a simple phrase..."If it ain't broke, don't fix it."
The only one I can pick doesn't make sense unless you hear the whole scene...so here it is from episode 314 of TMS...(my favorite line in bold)
:): Thank you, thank you...Fozzie, this is not going to work!
:o: Just read off the page frog!
:): Lagies and genklefins...Lagies and genklefins...
Awesome! The Muppet Wiki has some decent info on the theater. Can't wait to see what you come up with! It amazes me that there were so many rooms that I didn't realize existed when I was younger. Like the Canteen for example.
I have been dreaming and searching for a long time for somebody to get the inspiration/ nerve to draw fictional "blueprints" of the Muppet Theater. I have yet to find any...and since I am not much of an artist, does anyone know of any?
I joined this forum just after reading this entire thread, and had to reply. Most tear-inducing Muppet moments I can break down into two simple catergories. For me, they may be stereotypical, but they still cause me to tear up...yep I am a softie.
