    Abby's debut

Sometimes characters just don't "work" for one reason or another. They have really high hopes for Abby though.

    Abby's debut

Airdates for S37 haven't been determined yet. I'll let you know if I hear anything definite. Her appearances are towards the end of the season, though. Just so you know, she's 2 and a half. And adorable, as I'm sure you know, froggiegirl.

Lack of Susan in recent years

Yes, I've noticed this too. I haven't heard any word why.

Little Big Bird part 2, Season 37 changes

I'm not sure, to tell you the truth. I have a feeling that it has to do with budgetary issues, but don't quote me on that.

    Who's this chick?

Correct. She regularly performs Telly's right hand. Although it's spelled Arciero. Snuffy is Bryant's only character.

Little Big Bird part 2, Season 37 changes

It doesn't. I'm sorry if I didn't explain that article very well. The article describes a new initiative that PBS is taking to increase viewership by introducing new age-appropriate blocks, live hosts, and a larger amount of programming. They are debuting their initiative this Fall, so Sesame...

Where is the new New York Workshop?

As far as tours go, they're pretty private. They have a lot of work to do so I doubt that they'd take the public on a tour. I guess it's worth a shot to call though. You wouldn't know they were there from the outside of the building.

Little Big Bird part 2, Season 37 changes

Booberfragless is correct about the new episodes not airing until Sept. or Oct. The reason lies with PBS, not completely with SW. This article can help explain a little bit: http://www.kidscreen.com/articles/magazine/20060101/mtots.html?word=pbs I believe decisions are still being made as...

    Sesame Street on Three Wishes

Sorry if someone previously posted this... Sesame Street was featured in a short blip on Three Wishes that aired last Friday, Dec. 2. A little girl's wish was to meet Cookie Monster. Amy Grant took the girl to the SS set and talked to Oscar and Elmo about where to find Cookie Monster. They...

    Talking with kids.

Like I said, they are screened.

    Talking with kids.

The kids are put through a "screening" process to see which ones would be best for which segments. It is not random, by any means.

    My own two cents

Ah, but therein lies the problem. Studies have shown that moms think the current Sesame Street looks old and tired compared to shows like "Dora" and "Blue's Clues." Unfortunately, it seems like moms want to sit their kid in front of the television and use it as a baby-sitter. No matter how...

    My own two cents

Just to be reassuring, although the writers do use new characters quite a bit, they still feel a lot of affinity towards classic characters and try to use them whenever feasible. Big Bird, Bert and Ernie, Prarie Dawn, Cookie, and Grover are most likely going to be around for a very, very long...
