I'd like to experiment with antron fleece. I don't really want to dye it though. Anyone know where I can get pre-dyed antron fleece in various colors? Or anyone have a yard or so of various colors laying around?
I've noticed that the fur on grover in newer productions (specifically a celebration of me! grover) is short, neat fur. Not the soft, nappy stuff we're used to. Just an observation.
As for acheiving that soft nappy look we're used to- I've noticed on some of my puppet's, that the short...
difficulties
to me, the biggest challenge seems to be pairing appropriate movement with the audio track, and keeping the amount of unique images (and thus the file size) to a minimum. Even performing motions live to pre=recorded audio poses the challenge of making the movements natural and...
so, I have this weekly jewish puppet show on the web (sheck out my link in my signature) and i want to make some educational flash games starring the puppets. i could go with cartoon versions (like sesamestreet.com), but i'd rather have the real puppets. The new muppets.com uses actual video...
The Itche Kadoozy Show
I put up a new show every week. The web is really great for this stuff. Buck, I've checked bear-town periodically, but haven't seen consistent updates?
Oh, and if any of you have jewish friends, be sure to send them to my puppet stuff.
Finished!
Thanks, ravagefrackle. I ended up doing it competely differently, but I'll use your suggestions for future aleph-beit puppets (eventually i'll have to make all 22!) here's the finished product:
mem puppet
I'm trying to create some letter puppets (hebrew letters, but the principal is the same). I imagine them being no bigger than a foot and a half x a foot and a half. The challenge is getting the mouth moving, assuming that squeaing my arm into those tight, odd shapes would be hard, if not...
Porkchop?
Porkchop may not have been the most apporopriate choice of analogy for my project, but I get the point. Wht is 77? always just use hot glue for everything
Cheeks
I'm making a puppet according to the 3-piece head method from the foam book, and then I'll cover it in fleece. I'm trying to make a cute little girl and therefore, puffy cheeks are needed. Any ideas how to do this without hindering the mouth movement?
