Everyone describe's Uncle Deadly's head as "skull-like", yet dragon-like seems to suit the shape better, especially since the figure of him shows he has a tail.
Also, is he meant to be a monster or a ghost? Since he is regarded as "The Phantom of the Muppet Show".
(I think Florence and Juliet found the monsters "cute", and the guest star always is asked who he or she wants to perform with. *snickers*)
Who are the monsters in the cold opening? The ones I caught were;
Shakey (though, doesn't he also count as more of a "creature" than monster?)
Luncheon...
During the goodnights for Twiggy, Deadly appears trying to take her place as the guest, and Kermit doesn't seem as terrified of the dragon-like fiend as he was before. Is it possible to two of them worked out a type of deal that Deadly could perform with the cast if he stopped trying to scare...
In season 1 of the Muppet Show, Gonzo almost always seemed depressed about something; be it his personal life or the fact that he always got booed offstage when he attempted to perform one of his acts; it's my theory that because of the depression, he hardly ever changed out of the purple...
No. I think it was just meant to be silly, as if there weren't enough women left. Remember, Statler and Waldorf have danced together, and Gonzo danced with Kermit for a short time in the start of the episode because he didn't have a partner.
YOWZA! YOWZA! YOWZA!
Have any of you considered he just didn't think Wanda was worth eating? When Wanda tells him the right word and starts crying, Gotgon just gives a "sarcastic" apology and turns away, as if she isn't worth his time of day.
think the main joke behind "Miss Kitty" is that the monster has a male's voice.
There was the monster who sang "I feel pretty" with Mary Louise and another girl (both who seemed to be sporting fangs, so were they meant to be monsters, too?), but she really seemed to be more like Piggy's...
And didn't anyone notice that Big Mama look like she was uncomfortable and going to be sick when Piggy started dancing in her? I think she was starting to regret eating her.
Though Big Mama certainly seems like a nasty attack dog, eating John Cleese's agent, though thankfully no one else in...
I wouldn't say Nigel the conductor is wimpy, how did that start? If anything, he seems to be passive aggressive. It seems as where Kermit would scream his head off, Nigel just makes a sarcastic comment that could count as a threat; case in point, he may or may not have been bluffing to replace...
You can't really be sure. There were other Frackles in the special that didn't appear on The Muppet Show. And Gonzo went from a Frackle to a Whatever, so maybe Lenny was the "Lizard" Frackle, but was in the background where we couldn't see him.
Actually, Mildred never appeared backstage, I don't think Gonzo would have cared (since he was basically being a pest himself in episode 2), the Newsman was always performed by Jim, Wayne and Wanda never made important roles on the show, and Scooter doesn't seem to annoy easily.
*nods* That brings me to another point;
Shakey is shaking on the wall before Behemoth devours him, just gapes at Kermit when he tells him to calm down and appears again with a nervous tick. I think something came unhinged mentally, because he didn't seem that...well, shakey when he performed...
I don't think he was calm all the time; he does a double take when Baskerville gets grabbed and his jaw trembles while Gorgon's chewing his lil buddy up.
Gorgon Heap: Mm. Tough.
Rowlf: Hmm....
I think Piggy was a bit mortified when Kermit popped up because as the ending music plays, she covers her eyes and shakes her head. Maybe she was ashamed she'd let it happen to her love.
Also, she doesn't seem comfortable around monsters;
In the Sherlock sketch, she looks over her shoulder...
