For those of you unfamiliar with the background music, there are two pieces of music heard, both penned by Richard Harvey: The first song heard is "Water Course (A)," and then "Exchange." Both pieces were originally recorded in 1974, released on the album "Richard Harvey's Nifty Digits."
The...

I am sure some of you here may remember this segment, what the above link will take you to.
This takes place at the Crayola factory in Easton, PA. This segment would date from no earlier than 1979 and no later than 1984, going by the package design as...
Does anyone know what season of Sesame Street was the first with the "funky chimes" background music heard during the spiel announcing who funded said program ("Funding for this program was provided in part by the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB) ... and by public television stations...
Here's what I believe is the actual dialogue (one can only wonder who still has the original written draft from 1984-85 for this movie) from the final scene where the Sleaze Brothers are caught, after Big Bird jumps off the truck onto the open hood of the VW Beetle.
Sam: "Hey, what's that...
What would you folks think of the landmark 1985 movie, Follow That Bird, if it had different cast members and vehicles?
Here is my take:
Cast Dan Aykroyd and John Belushi (The Blues Brothers) as the Sleaze Brothers. Why? Both Aykroyd and Belushi were one time members of SCTV along with the two...
Can anyone please identify what was the first episode Baby Natasha (who didn't have a name at first) appeared in? I do know she appeared in 1987, but what I don't know is whether she appeared during the 1986-87 season or if it was early in the 1987-88 season.
She is known for emanating the...
This refers to the short-lived expansion of Muppet Babies. Only 3 (out of 18) episodes were aired. Following the cancellation of this part of the show, an MB rerun was added to fill the void left behind by Little Muppet Monsters.
Here's the MB&M intro (skip to 0:30)...
Block Shows
Seeing as this incarnation was a "block" type show (at least two segments), do you have any other favorite shows that were "block" shows? I know there were a lot of Hanna-Barbera cartoons between the mid 1970s and the early 1980s that were part of blocks, such as:
*The Tom &...

Hi,
I am just curious about how the song "ABC-DEF-GHI" would sound if a Japanese person were to sing it out:
ABC = ab-ka = abbuka
DEF = def = defu
GHI = gi = gii
JKL = Jekyll = Jekkiru
MNOP = ma-nop = manoppu
QR = kwer = kuaa
STUV = styoov = suchuubu
WXYZ = wik-siz = wikushizu...
I have both The Scooby-Doo/Dynomutt Hour and The Richie Rich/Scooby-Doo Show: Volume 1 on DVD.
I like Dynomutt as his hick-like voice, contributed by Frank Welker, was said to copy that of Bullwinkle J. Moose. Caroll Spinney copied that for the early incarnation of his Big Bird character.

Hi,
Seeing that the show is now 40 years old, I'd like to ask you all this: what did you think of the show's first 130 or so episodes?
No one can forget this "song-and-dance" moment:

Or this moment, when Oscar the Grouch was orange...
What did you all think of the early voice Caroll Spinney had used for his Big Bird character? You know, the one that's reminiscent of the likes of classic cartoon characters such as Bullwinkle J. Moose and Dynomutt: Dog Wonder, as well as the Muppet Kermit the Frog? That early vocal style didn't...

Who remembers the Milk Crisis segment (which appeared around 1975) wherein a little baby girl runs out of milk, and then this milk truck has to go all the way to her home?
