Here's another puppet we recently did. I actually finished him early this week, though he'd been 90% complete for a little while, so it's not like I'm finishing several puppets a week, or anything. :)

The seam is a little messed up, but it's not...
Thanks!
Yeah, I'm not sure if I want the raccoon's body to be solid brown, or a mix of brown and beige. I think I will make it lighter, to give him a nice little stomach.
I spent a fair bit of time mulling over the shape of the head, and the pattern for the foam. It's not perfect, but I'm...
Hey all,
Here're some in-progress shots of a raccoon puppet that I'm building for season 2 of dotBoom. The raccoon controls Farrah's mind, you see. So he's got to look snazzy.
I'm liking the way the raccoon is coming together, despite the fact that he's a pretty simple, pretty straightforward...
I was about to ask you exactly what you meant, but I realized what you meant in the course of articulating the question. So do you just have a square of velcro on the back of the hand? In your photo you can't see it in the palm, unless I really am misunderstanding.
In any case, that's a really...
Thanks!
Stubble is thread. I looped through the fleece skin, bit by bit. Then I cut the loops, trimming to the length I wanted. It works pretty well, though it takes a LONG time.
For the hole in the eyes, I used my Dremel tool, specifically a sanding bit I have. It cut a smaller hole than I...
Check it out!

Many of the pictures are the same, but the last few are of the completed puppet! What do you think?
I'm just about done the second version of Farrah, which is cool. It's a bit of a strange thing, considering I changed his skin tone a bit, so he doesn't look as much like the old Farrah as he could. That's a design decision, though, so it doesn't represent my screwing it up.
Another thing...
I am currently rebuilding Farrah from dotBoom (as well as basically all of the other characters). He's not yet done, but he's coming together well. This is how he looks right now:

Hope you like! I changed the colour I wanted him to...
Hey BarbarianJ,
Thanks for the kind words, I'm glad you like my stuff! As for critiques, I'm always open to them. You can post here, via PM, or via e-mail [I'm at brian at hoggworks dot com].
Cheers!
Thanks!
For the nose, I took a half-ping pong ball, cut a butterfly shaped bit of fleece, glued the centre of it onto the centre of the ball, then sewed it on. It's pretty straight-forward, and the ping pong ball holds the shape rather nicely.
Also, here's a photo of Mojo 1 beside Mojo 2...
Thanks! I'm quite chuffed that I can get them like the concept art, too; there are a lot of puppets that don't match their concept art much at all, so I'm glad I'm getting closer to figuring out that part of it. :)
The pin has the benefit of being easily removable, though it can fairly easily fall out of place if there's a lot of movement going on (and if you haven't securely fastened it). The loose-sewing method would be slightly slower, but should be more resilient to moving around, I think (though I...
Hey all,
As part of my ramp-up for a dotBoom 2.0, I'm rebuilding a chunk of the puppets, as I've gotten way better than I was when I built the first round. First up was Mojo, as he was the first one I built for the first season of dotBoom...
I used wedges like the rind of an orange slice, but I was trying to find the ratio. I think I might've gone more for a 3-1 than a 4-1, and as a result I was only able to get six wedges in before I couldn't fit any more in.
Also, it took me a couple attempts to realize that my occasional method...
