From what I remember of it, I'd just as soon the animated series never happened. I remember it being somewhat... hideous. (the pic on that link is a perfect example. what on earth is Red doing in that pic anyway, getting ready to execute a body slam?)
Kinda contradicting if I'm interpreting your alies correctly to be a connection to Catcher in the Rye. Didn't Holden interpret the concept of a 'catcher in the rye' as someone who protects others against losing their innocence?
I think blinded still fits in that episode. In this case her concern for trying to use her 'power' in order to save the world blew the whole thing totally out of proportion. She treated it like it was a divine spark allowing her to do some incredible world-changing thing when it was all really...
..... Sorry, Jerry Springer. It ain't happening. And you can stop harassing Bert and Ernie about this too. You'll have to go elsewhere to find guests for your show. :p
Perhaps the key factor that Mokey generally brings is that she is sort of the conscience of the group, usually the first to step forward when she feels something is unjust. Wembley does this very similarly, but it applies to more general practial things rather than ethical.
Sheesh, people. I'm not sure whether to start selling nuclear weapons to the warring parties in here or bring the U.N. in as a mediator.
Dude... you seriously need some psycho-therapy. And anyhow, I have looked into this before, and Cantus is actually not a Fraggle. He may be a close cousin...
Yeah that's the one I was referring to in my last post. It's definately the same notes, they just chose not to use the lyrics for whatever reason. Maybe they decided it was a bit too silly - strayed too far from the true intent of the show?
That's pretty cool. Kinda neat too how although it didn't survive to the actual show, parts of it did find their way into the extended version of the theme song, and the revised theme song of the final episode. I think I'll definately be singing these new words when that instrumental portion of...
I wasn't trying to question inflation of prices (retail values) and just how high someone can set a price for. What was getting me was exactly how it was done. I can completely understand the logic in having a flat fee for cutting a roll but increasing the price per yard seemed rather extreme...
They'd better go through with the whole thing and release Mokey too.
I just grabbed Boober today and I'll get Wembley next week (still need to get the Doozers though). And I agree that these are very realistic-looking. The hair & fur especially. The hair actually looks like real Muppet hair...
I don't have the cash for this but just out of curiosity, how does a company justify adding $3 per yard just for somebody to go "snip"? Talk about highway robbery. Is there some real complicated procedure I don't know about?
Heh, I remember Kermit too. And it was definately the most stable data transfer protocol I could find - very good. Back in the late-90's when the modern internet was just getting going, I didn't have FTP access yet so I went through Telnet and used Kermit to upload my Fraggle Rock website files...
Not sure if I remeber this alias but I'm pretty sure I remember you. Were you on the old MC board under a different name? I know I remember talking to you at some point or another about your Fraggle Music page.
As for disappearing acts, I know exactly what you went through. Same kinds of...
Pretty dangerous too I think. The main problem is it would probably take more than one Fraggle to accomplish. I don't think Gobo could do it without help, and since nobody else ever showed enough guts to enter Doc's place, it just wouldn't happen. Plus something would have to happen to let them...
In Fraggle Rock there were plenty of creatures that appeared to be mammals, so there were plenty of different potential sources of milk. They just chose not to go as far as talking about or showing this.
Could you imagine this... "Cave creature, would you mind if I milk you?"
Sort of...
