In 6 days, I'll be performing in a three-show run of my school's production of "Footloose!" Yes, that's right! The musical adaptation of the ever popular Kevin Bacon movie from 1984. I am playing Ethel McCormack, Ren (Kevin Bacon's character)'s mom. It's so much fun, since my "son" is great to...
My parents only keep wheat bread in the house, so that's the only kind available for me to use, so I just put the peanut butter on one slice and the jelly on the other, stick 'em together and cut it on a diagonal.

I'm partial to either one, but I don't drink soda very often, so it doesn't matter. However, when the only 2 available beverages are Coke and Pepsi (or either one), I have just a little bit.

The one that rings a bell the most for me is the song he sings with Eddie and Andy, the one that goes something like, "Here am I, Captain Vegetable, with my carrot and my celery!" (feel free to correct me if I'm wrong...I haven't seen it in at least a decade and a half). I don't think i've...
I can vaguely remember one where a voice kept saying "Exit, exit!" numerous times, and at the end, a bunch of Keith Haring-type animated people walked out a door...does that ring a bell?

Oh. My. G-d. That song scared the living daylights out of me when I was little. I guess it was because of the lips at the beginning of the segment and the angry expressions on Maria's and Gina's faces throughout the whole thing...was anyone else scared of it? I haven't seen it in about 9 or 10...
I don't remember any specific episodes, but I have many favorite songs/sketches. That may sound crazy to some of you, but only about a year ago did I come to really appreciate classic SS.

I can vaguely recall seeing this as a child, and as a result, my mom would frequently say to me "Don't be a Waste-aroo!" I'm not sure of the year it was made, though...

There may have been a thread about this already, but after looking through the forums, I haven't found one....Anyway, what are your favorite Monsterpiece Theater segments? Mine is probably "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest." Having seen it as a child, I thought it funny to see a number one...
I never saw the original clip of this song, but I do remember when Elmopalooza! (the 30-year anniversary special) was released, and that particular song (sung by En Vogue, of whom I am not a fan) was being shown on a TV screen at the WHYY store of Knowledge about 6 years ago....
~Dana~
I remember that song!! I don't remember all the words off the top of my head, just a few lines here and there, but I can recall liking it as a child.

my favorite SS Special is probably "Sesame Street Stays Up Late," the New Year's special which was aired sometime in 1993 (correct me if I'm wrong).

I can recall hearing and seeing "Cereal Girl" on SS during my childhood, but then when I was about 8 years old, I heard Madonna's "Material Girl" on the radio and thought, "Hey, that sounds an awful lot like "Cereal Girl!"" Is that AM's name just Cereal Girl or does she have a different name...
I LOVED "Don't Eat the Pictures!" I used to have it on video (taped from TV, not a purchased copy), but I am not sure what happened to it. I remember enjoying all of Cookie's scenes, especially the one where he discovers that there is a sign that says "Please Don't Eat the Pictures" and the...
the 36-episode DVD box set with "the best of" each season sounds like a good idea to me. at least it would capture the most unforgettable moments which will make all the classic SS fans happy :)
~Dana~
I used to LOVE Chuck E. Cheese's! I can recall going to a birthday party for a friend of mine (It must have been a month or so before I turned 5) and while the party hosts were doing their whole birthday shpiel, I got up there and started dancing with them! My friend was not too happy, but...
