Last night, I found what I presume is volume 1 of THE SOUPY SALES SHOW. I honestly don't know why it takes three DVDs as there are only 3 actual episodes on the discs, but that's petty quibbling. The shows are hilarious. I should mention that these are episodes from the 1970's. Also, you get...
ROFL! Me too! I seem to recall one or two of those dancers looking at the camera in a special way that I particularly liked. This clip is one of the many reasons I'm constantly on youtube...I keep hoping to hit paydirt!:)
There's JOSEPH and the AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT, the 2000 revival version of JESUS CHRIST,SUPERSTAR, INTO THE WOODS, SUNDAY IN THE PARK WITH GEORGE, FOLLIES IN CONCERT, LES MISERABLES IN CONCERT, BARNUM (a personal favorite!), PIPPIN, SMOKEY JOE'S CAFE, FOSSE and JEKYLL AND HYDE. I don't...
On the left side of the screen there's a menu with the heading SORT BY: below that are the options. Choose the one that says "Recently Added". The page will be reloaded with the newest clips posted first.
And do you know who's done more to destroy the English language than Archie Bunker? Snoop Dogg. I didn't know you could get rich by sounding like a foul-mouthed idiot, while somebody behind you plays a drum machine.:boo:
I'm a member of golden-road.net, and we have a TON of commercials we can't stand that show up during first run episodes of THE PRICE IS RIGHT. As a project during the summer, I comprised a list of the worst commercials on the air. I called them "The HOVIE Awards", after the HOVEROUND...
The inspiration for the music, in any of Joe's songs, could've come from anywhere. He was definitely channeling Cole Porter with "I'm in Love With You, Pretty Baby". I'd agree that the lyrics are pure Joe!:)
It's only England's BOOMERANG channel that's doing this. Frankly, I'd be more concerned about some of the other stuff they air...MILE HIGH and FOOTBALLER$ WIVE$ leap to mind for example. I guess it's OK to expose kids to promiscuity, but not a smoking cartoon cat. :rolls eyes:
There are spoilers in the first link. I won't reveal them here, but I gotta say that this promises to be even better than the first volume. I noticed a couple of skits/cartoons/songs that I absolutely want to see. Man, I can't wait until November 14!
I tried eHarmony 3 years ago...what a RIPOFF! They only seemed interested in matching me with women who were either WAY too young or WAY too old. Secondly, these "matches" lived 40-50 miles from my hometown, despite my request for matches closer. Finally, every time I did reach out to a...
A youtube.com member by the name of "Larynxa" has posted the clown removing his makeup. It's Dennis Allen from LAUGH-IN. Thank you, Larynxa for finally settling the question. Now if I could get that darn production music cue outta my head...
I remember that! It definitely predates 1980. I remember seeing that clip the first time at my aunt and uncle's house. I actually quite liked that skit. Bob was definitely using the "old British explorer" accent in that one. I can still see him crawling out of the water onto the shoore!
They just posted "Poor Solomon Grundy", "The Story of the Letter L", AND the sad flower film! Neeedless to say, I'm ver happy, and all three are in my favorites!
Hold the phone:-D! There's another thread which maintains that the clown in question is Pat Paulsen. Someone REALLY needs to get this clip up over at youtube.com if for no other reason than to get a positive ID on this guy. I have reason to believe it's Pat Paulsen, as Dennis Allen is more...
My guess is he just adapted the music of the old folk song IT AIN'T GONNA RAIN NO MORE, based on the rhythm of the lyrics. Same could be said of Adams' other lyric in the same section:
"I teleported home one night
With Ron and Sid and Meg
Ron stole Meggie's heart away
And I got Sidney's leg"
What I MEANT was, did they get these on the first take? Things CAN go wrong when you film, you know. Did they have to go back and try it the next day, next week?:)
MY unsolved mysteries involve the ever-popular beginning/end films, specifically:
How long did it actually take to film them, since they had to be actually filmed in real time, then sped up in post edit?
Did Jim Henson direct them, or did Frank Oz?
Did the man eating the hot dog have to...
