Thanks for the alert - with this coming off the heels of Extreme Markeover, I could begin to get used to Muppety-themed ABC shows on Sunday nights. :)

This rocks! It reminds me a lot of the Muppet*Vision pre-show. Disney releases a free promo DVD each year that guests can order to help plan a Walt Disney World or Disneyland vacation and from what I've heard the 2010 version doesn't include any special Muppet stuff.

Yes, probably so. And you bring up a point that I hadn't thought of--dialogue. I guess it just hadn't crossed my mind that Kermit and Piggy might be speaking on their float, which would be natural considering that's what the other Disney characters do in the rest of the parade. Wouldn't it be...

I know! Considering this is the first big new Muppets thing they've had in the parks since the Muppet Mobile Lab, I think this is pretty huge news. Hopefully Disney will begin to utilize them more in similar ways in the parks.

The version on Disney.com is almost exactly 3 minutes. Apparently right now it's just on Disney's homepage, not in the video section of their site. Or if it is I can't find it. They sort of did that with High School Musical, Ashely Tisdale at least, in the first Studio DC special. But yes...

There's a long(er?) version of the video available on the Disney.com homepage - those wanting to see it might want to head over there soon because Disney typically tends to switch up their videos on Fridays and Mondays, so hurry! :)

Update - The pre-parade now has an official name, Disney's Honorary VoluntEARS Cavalcade, and will begin January 8 (not January 4) at both Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom in Florida and Disneyland Park in California. :) More details can be found over at WDWNews.com.

I watched the DVD this week - the surprises after the credits were hysterical! They just kept coming and coming - a very nice addition to the set. I also liked the snails. "Run for you liiiiiiiiife!"

There was a category tonight on Jeopardy called "Rhymes With a Muppet"! :) I found that very amusing, thought I would share. The answers were hermit (Kermit), figgy (Piggy), rover (Grover), mount (Count), and speaker (Beaker).

Was that BILLY BUNNY in the Jennifer Hudson sequence? :eek: And Charles Blitzen looks a lot like Lightning from Elmo Saves Christmas.
