Before a heated debate gets started again...
Disney is NOT out to get Steve
Hensons are NOT out to get Steve
Steve is NOT out to get Disney
Steve is NOT out to get the Hensons
Just because someone has a different opinion than you, doesn't mean they are wrong. People are allowed to dislike...
I was thinking of doing that, but I just don't have the time. I feel like you could piece together a fair amount of the show with YouTube/Instagram clips and Facebook livestreams. Good luck!
I've watched these Hollywood Bowl videos so many times that Matt's Kermit just sounds like Kermit to me. I'm not saying he is "just like Jim" or "better than Steve" or whatever, it's just I've listened to it enough that my brain now makes the association between Matt's performance and Kermit's...
You don't even have to make them say it. In the context, we all know exactly what the hypothesis is. Simply put, "Steve was holding all the productions back, so they ultimately got shelved". Not saying I agree with that hypothesis, but everyone is titled to their own opinions. End of that...
Alright. I'm going to write a post that should make everyone happy, from those far on Matt's side like Censored, and those that are far on Steve's side.
Alright, I'm going to address Censored first. Let me start off by saying I do not want to get into a war of words, where you and I disagree...
I am not sure where you are hearing that from, but you never really know. We know these guys can sing, so if "autotune" was used, it was probably just to correct the flat note here and there (like many artists do).
I think the only time he appeared was in the intro, where you could see him on one of the video screen arches
Not the entire show. Most of the skits/dialogue pieces that are standalone are done live, but a lot of pieces of dialogue that are embedded into a musical number are pre recorded
It wasn't Peter, because he takes a bow at the end with the core performers, whereas the person holding Bunsen stays behind. And yeah, I don't think it's Brian. If Brian were actually doing it, you'd think they'd bring back Sal.
Yeah, some parts of dialogue are pre-recorded, some not. For example, Fozzies joke during the intro is pre-recorded, as well as any dialogue or utterances during Can You Picture That. Still a fantastic show
I completely understand what you're saying, and like I said, there was probably a good reason why. I just find it weird that even little bits of dialogue aren't even live, and it seems like the puppeteers WANT it to seem like they're doing it live, when they really aren't. Also, I would...
I've been watching videos from tonight, and I was wondering...am I the only one that feels like everything being lip-synced kind of cheapens the experience? Don't get me wrong, this show is amazing and everyone has done a fantastic job, but it's just odd that even these little bits of dialogue...
