You really think Dave Goelz is going to work full time at Disney? They can't just have him record lines, they need someone to do live voice interaction with the guests.
The scene was done recently, but the Muppet Mobile Labs uses on-site (or rather off site) voice actors. While I can say that Bunsen is not performed by Dave Goelz here, I am not sure about Beaker. I believe Beakers parts are pre-recorded soundbites, so it would most likely be Steve's performance.
I had the same exact thoughts when I first watched it. You can see him think for a moment, wanting to instinctively say "I've moved past that", but realizes the position he is in and what he is promoting. I think it was a nice choice on his part (especially for us fans)
So many things I love about this. First of all, it's so great to hear Frank openly talking about the Muppets again (both in this preview and in general), and wonderful to see Jerry again.
Fun appearance! One little note, that was Matt's best "Yaaaaay!" to date. Other times, he usually just does it in a soft falsetto, but I guess the secret is really just screaming it out. I think he is really starting to settle into the role.
If it is a direct reboot from the 2015, it means we will most definitely see a recast of Rizzo (presumably Peter). While the circumstances surrounding it are unfortunate, it is really nice that Peter is finally getting the characters and recognition he deserves.
Don't get too bogged down on the whole Disney Streaming Service thing. If you look hard enough, there are always bootlegged versions all over the net.
Anyway, this is exciting. The show just started to improve when it was taken off the air (though admittedly, I enjoyed the entire series)...
Just found an interesting tidbit from Frank's recent AMA. When asked if he would be open to doing another film with other performers not featured in this one, he responded:
One criticism I have is that Matt's Kermit has a very harsh tone, so even in his soft spoken, emotional moments, he still kind of sounds like he is either shouting or using a very stern voice. That's really my only complaint at this point, because my brain has already adjusted to the new voice...
You have to realize that nobody in this thread has been protesting Disney's move anymore. Whether we agree or disagree, it's been over one year since the event actually took place, most of Steve's characters have been recast, and it's pretty much a done deal. All opinions aside, there is no way...
Well, you have to realize the only other puppeteer from that production they mentioned was Jerry Nelson. They didn't say anything about Frank Oz. Honestly, if they wanted to, they could have just not said anything about Rizzo either. Also, this was a 12 minute compilation from an 86 minute...
Yeah, it becomes very obvious when Mike is performing the characters (he usually is performing the one who has the least dialogue in said two-shot). His Kermit has a flat/deformed head that makes his eyesight not quite line up with Constantine's, and his Constantine doesn't have as much of an...
I guess I'm in the minority when I say that the Pentatonix appearance was one of my favorites of his so far. Maybe it's just because I've gotten so use to his Kermit already, but I really just felt like I was watching Kermit and Constantine.
As for the Muppet Thought of the Week? Blegh. They...
They really need to scrap all of those old Muppet Thought Of The Week stuff that they shot. Matt has improved SO MUCH since then! He sounded incredible here!
One note of criticism though: Whoever was doubling for Kermit in the shots where Constantine didn't really get his mannerisms or head...
Yep. Series 4 has been officially shelved (for the moment, at least)

I think his tone/pitch is closer to Jim's, whereas the rubberiness/smoothness of the voice is more like Steve's. I think it's a happy medium between the two. We'll never have another Kermit exactly like Jim, nor will we have one that is exactly like Steve. We have to allow the character to...
