I don't think this special ruined the Muppets. That in and of itself implies that this special will somehow be the downfall to the Muppets which, I don't think it is. It wasn't the greatest thing they've ever done, by far, but it was sweet and had its moments. But it's fine to have an opinion...
Yeah. But even if they aren't as great as they once were, I think I would be crushed if the Muppets stopped doing new things. At the same time though, I think we, as fans, are lucky that they have done so much and that Jim was indeed able to do so much with them.
I enjoyed this. I really did. But it sort of made me think what's been missing from the Muppets even since MCC or rather, since Jim Henson passed away.
It was great to see the Muppets all in one place. I had a problem with some elements of the story, but it was sweet. I just felt...
I know what you mean. Meowth has always been my favorite Pokemon and when I heard the news, I was crushed... And that feeling really hasn't gone away. I was able to chat with her once several years ago and she seemed like a swell person.
She voiced Meowth from Pokemon and Jillas from The...
I just watched it. Kermit seemed very... Nervous in this appearance.
Now I just want to see a fifteen minute segment of Dr. Phil talking to both Kermit and Miss Piggy about their relationship. Heheh.
That depends on where you live. For me, it comes on NBC at 3:00. But it also comes on CBS. You should check your local listings. Perhaps you should go online and look up the schedule for your local NBC or CBS?
Another great Kermit song from Sesame Street is This Frog. I guess one can argue that it's sung too strong for their tastes, but it's a great song about doing what you want to do no matter what.
I heard that Don Rosa retired in part because the pay was bad as well. It's a shame that Disney underpaid such a talented and beloved artist.
I really want to read The Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck. I'm just not sure where to get it.
Hold on. So that song isn't on the DVD? I have a copy of MCC (the 2005 release) and it's on in the full screen version. It was also on the old VHS.
Am I missing something in this conversation?
Legends of the Hidden Temple was great, but Double Dare was just plain awesome. I remember wanting to be on that show... Along with that one Nick Arcade show. But that wasn't nearly as interesting as Double Dare.
I used to watch all the shows mentioned, but I really was in it for the cartoons. My favorites were usually the non-Nicktoons like Muppet Babies, Tiny Toons, Beetlejuice, the Charlie Brown and Snoopy Show, ect.
I am really thankful for the old Nickelodeon that showed The Muppet Show, The Frog...
I agree about Pepe and Fozzie. But it actually took years for Pepe to grow on me. Probably a decade, in fact. But I rewatched this movie recently and I realized that not only did it seem natural for him to be there, but he's just a fun character in his own right.
Personally, I'm just glad he...
I agree that they just aren't the same, but I don't think that stops them for being decent movies in their own right. It's like comparing apples and oranges. They're both fruit, but both have different flavors.
I know its hard... impossible, even for one to judge Jim-era Muppet projects to...
Personally, I like this movie for various reasons. I have my problems with it too, but the good outweighs the bad.
It took a few viewings for it to really grow on me, but it did. If only because it had the Muppets return to a theater environment and they really work well there.
There were some...
