Bear arrives on Disney+ The beloved series has been off the air for the past 15 years. Now all four seasons are finally available for a whole new generation.
It feels like the fanbase is aging out and the younger replacements arent there or dont care about message boards. Plus, there is nothing to look forward to in the world of Muppets.
We have a Fraggle movie that has been in "production" since at least 2008.
We have a Dark Crystal series...
He later shows Kermit dancing with Gene Kelly so obviously it was not a technical limitation thing. It's a joke. It's a subtle joke, but still a joke.
I'm sure in the writers meeting someone said "Let's have Kermit sing Happy Feet and tap dance" and one of the others went "Ok, how do you want...
True, it is a little odd they didnt do Statler and Waldorf.
Likely they couldn't go straight to Dr. Teeth and Zoot because a small run if them would cost a ton. They require tooling, where as the series 2 stuff is already done. Statler and Waldorf are also probably too expensive for a small...
I mean... they are having a run specifically done for them for those that missed them and 3rd maket prices are pretty high. Also, if these re-releases sell it may mean BBTS will fund the Dr. Teeth and Zoot 2 packs.
Netflix does some awesome stuff so I don't consider things getting "dumped" to Netflix. Something like the Story Teller just wouldn't work on regular TV anymore.
Every media company seems to be creating their own Netflix type of Service. On one hand I think it's terrible because to see...
I saw that a couple weeks ago on facebook and Tough Pigs. There is an Ernie and Kermit version. It's neat, but also a little weird that he is holding what looks like a Kermit doll as opposed to working a Kermit puppet.
That rendition of ABC with the Count and Big Bird is cute. Also, amazing when you consider it's actually done by one person. It still amazes me that one person can do so many unique characters.
I do agree that there needs to be main performers and official under studies. Sesame Workshop handled their recasts far better than the Muppets did. Elmo, Count, Oscar, Big Bird, Bert, Grover, Cookie Monster, etc. None of these characters missed a beat when their original performers retired...
I am very happy to see this appearance. Random Muppets popping up on TV is great. They are certainly doing a slow burn media push this time around instead of hitting all outlets at once when the finally officially announce a new series. Maybe... just maybe...Disney is starting to get that the...
You are conflating actual box office success with a pre-release following. Actual box office success will not be known until after the movie releases. As of right now, it is neither successful nor unsuccessful.
To say the movie is doing poorly or doing well is false. Therefore, ascribing a...
Right, but a movie doing poorly or not can not be determined until release, no? We can say it has the potential to do poorly or the potential to do well, but it's too soon to it is performing poorly.
Frankly, the movie looks like every other Marvel movie. The de-aging of Samuel L. Jackson...
The movie isn't even out yet, how is it doing poorly?
Regardless of that, the quote she gave is pretty racist/sexist. Movie's are for everyone. Perhaps it is not the targeted audience, but that doesn't make it ok to belittle or invalidate someone's opinion of something. Also, note she said...
I honestly think this is why adults are having such a hard time being....adults these days. And this is speaking as someone that has way too many action figures. Though most are like 14 years old at this point.
Ha, I would love to. On another forum some one mentioned that we may see the origin of 80s Robot and someone joked that he would just be called Robot. So i figured split the difference and make it so that everytime someone calls hims 80s Robot someone else reminds them that hes just Robot...
