Its personal opinion, but I think the show is better. It allows for the complex story to unfold and shows us an expansion of the world. To me, the show can stand on its own, but the movie needs the show to be more enjoyable.

The Muppets kind of missed the nostalgia boat. Right now 90s nostalgia is in. They werent in their prime then. 80s nostalgia was around its peak when "The Muppets" (2011) came out. 70s nostalgia was big in the early 2000's.

Interesting. I wonder if by unscripted they mean something like a family friendly "puppet up" or a show with a loose premise. Considering all the Marvel and Star Wars shows it is nice to see some room made for a single Muppet show... even if it has no script.... Part of me was hoping for that...

The good thing is that Hasbro is a bigger name that will get press for this and frankly Sesame Street now is much bigger than the Muppets were when the replicas came out. Also, this looks a lot better.
