The Muppets will be appearing in another Thanksgiving food special today. Kermit, Miss Piggy, and the Swedish Chef will be on the "Ultimate Thanksgiving" episode of The Chew at noon on ABC.
Statler and Waldorf were just on NFL Live poking fun at Mark Schlereth (which is extra cool to me because he helped my hometown team win a couple of Super Bowls!). It looks like it will re-air tonight at 8:00 (Pacific). It was also mentioned that Kermit and Gonzo will be on the show tomorrow.
Kermit's star is right across the street from the El Capitan Theater. Big Bird is about a block west, and Jim Henson is three blocks east. You can look them up here:

Unfortunately, the Muppets don't have as much of a history in LA as they do in New York...
I just wanted to mention that the program was titled "Big Blue Marble", and it was fantastic to see that footage!
Also, in case I forget before writing it down somewhere else, Kevin mentioned that Richard Hunt "loved Schweppes ginger ale, tuna, and opera." I think the only reason this came up...
The Henson Studios are in LA, about half a mile away from El Capitan. They give tours, although I don't know how often they accept requests. This is from their website:
For a private or group tour of The Jim Henson Company lot that includes our state of the art Soundstage and award-winning...
I haven't been able to confirm this date. I sent an email to the Walk of Fame last night and got a response that no date had been set. Can you tell me where you heard this?
Thanks!
Murray
I have one of each. The one with the polka dots has the Henson markings. The one with the white tie is in a box somewhere, so I can't tell you anything else about it.
Steve was definitely there performing Kermit. I got to talk to him, Bill, and Dave. I actually caught Bill when everything was still being set up. And when he passed my way again, he had brought Steve to come meet me! They said they were going to try to get me a photo with some of the Muppets...
The Muppets will be back at the intersection of Hollywood and Highland tomorrow to re-shoot some scenes for the new movie. They've scheduled a closure of Hollywood Blvd between Highland and Orange from 7:30 pm to 6:00 am, with the closure extending to La Brea Ave at 1:00 am. Hollywood and...
As an extra bonus for those in Los Angeles, Meltdown Comics will have two Skesis on display (on loan from the Jim Henson Company). They'll also be playing the movie.

Some of you may already be aware of this, but I recently noticed that there are two different versions of the Muppet Show Fan Club soundsheet. The content is the same, but they are different in that they use different lettering, the coin circle is in a different location, and there are two...
I have both "Let's Play School" and "Muppet Madness". I didn't realize these haven't been added to the Muppet Wiki. I was planning on transferring the videos onto DVD, so when I do that I'll try to add some info on the wiki. I got the system fairly recently, so I haven't actually used it yet...
Yeah, I noticed that too. I just signed on to see if anyone had mentioned it. When I heard him say that I definitely recognized it, but I couldn't immediately remember what it was from. I would consider that an obscure reference, although the sketch is included on Old School Vol 1. I wonder who...
Just wanted to let you know I was in dowtown LA a couple of hours ago and saw the Muppets filming a scene. They had dressed the entrance of 453 Spring St to look like a division of the Los Angeles Police Department. It was a group scene with the characters exiting the building, most of them in...
That's too bad. I think my mom (age 54) is glad that I'm such a big Muppet fan, because it allows her to enjoy it with me. She still considers Fraggle Rock to be one of the best shows on television!

Oh, I didn't realize that was the reason for the cancellation. I assume you are talking about the Fresno stop. I had also been waiting for that for quite some time since it was the closest the exhibit was going to be to Los Angeles. Since that was canceled I decided to plan a trip to Chicago...
I don't think this is actually Henson Alternative, but it's along those lines. I just got this email from the Steve Allen Theater in Los Angeles:
"When **** is full, puppets shall walk the earth. The ultimate zombie puppet horror comedy 'THEY COMING' is finally here. Fleece and flesh will fly...
I never thought about it before, but if you zoom in on the photo you can definitely see one of his back feet.
I have gone to the Center for Puppetry Arts in Atlanta, but it was before they received that large donation from the Henson family. They only had a Skeksis at the time (as far as Dark...
I understand the castle sculptures are different. I guess I should have separated my comments. But I do like yours a lot!
If you're interested in some exhibit photos (and haven't already seen them - I've posted them before) you can go here...
