THREE'S COMPANY SEASON FOUR: I was sure that they would have included the pilot to "The Ropers" or an episode or two from that series. They could've included all of the episodes as a bonus disc and fans would have been THRILLED. In general, though, the features for all of the season boxes so...
What a great album! I haven't had a copy in a long time, but I remember getting it in '77 (must have been the reissue) and taking it to school (I was in kindergarten at the time) because you could bring in your faves to share with the class. Of course, the one day I was sick was the day that...
I had "Sonic Seasonings" and "A Clockwork Orange" for quite some time back before I got rid of most of my vinyl...those were really great and unusual albums! (I gave those to a Carlos fan friend of mine...I wonder if they were worth anything, since they both said "Walter Carlos"...original...
I bought that for myself last year, as well, but it is only to clear out their remaining copies of this pressing....unfortunately, there is only a mono soundtrack on it. Quite odd, IMHO, and there might even be a thread discussing this, if I remember correctly.

Thanks everyone. I believe this is now my third birthday on the forum, is it not, Philip? If not, it's close. Just filled up on cake, and typing now on my new Mac Mini!!! Good news: This new computer cuts my DVD rendering time down significantly (30 hours before for a 2 hour disc down to...
Oh, yeah, also a rather long period of time where I pretty much only listened to the mono pressing of the White Album, too. Not just "only" but mostly. That's not so bad, either, as it's a great piece of art, but it's a little too expensive to get the original mono!!
Wow, was I ever picky...
It's funny...as a former collector, I went thru a Pepper thing, and a Revolver/Rubber soul thing, a first-four-albums-early-sounds thing, even a bootleg raw in Hamburg thing!! I think, though, that I've settled on Abbey Road as the most fun record to listen to, especially that second side...
I can't believe that about the stray hunting. Someone is going to end up shooting some poor kid's cat, but nobody will care. I've noticed that in the States, no offense here, but if you like cats you are either a wuss or a crazy person. Of course, it's not much better here in Canada, but at...
Just a note to let everyone know that Bud Lucky, animator of such classic Sesame sketches as Ladybug Picnic, is featured prominantly on the Incredibles DVD that comes out tomorrow. I was surprised just now looking over the bonus features, that they included a great new Pixar short called...
This movie is rather adult oriented, but it is a lot of fun. Not so much at home, I'm told, but when you go to see it at a theatre!!
Tim Curry (Long John Silver in Muppet Treasure Island) puts in one of his coolest performances as a mad scientist/transvestite putting together his perfect...
Recently, my wife and I were in the local public library. In the basement is the childrens' section in one half, which I was in with our daughter. The other half is a constant book sale and newspaper archive going back to the early 1960's. My wife was sneaking around in that half for a while...
What, if any, French language clips are in this Canadian episode? I've been looking around and not many people have any CBC taped episodes at all!
eric
wow
I heard last night right before bed at about midnight. Very very sad. My mom always told me that I went through a thing when I was about 3 or 4 that I would stay up so late and wouldn't go to sleep unless I was watching Carson. He's been an entertainment hero of mine all of my life...
Aren't there about 125 shows in the first season? Plus test shows? Plus a couple of unused pilots? That's a bit large, I'm sure, although, I'm thinking I'd probably still shell out for the set, they'd never make their money back on a box that big....and that's just for one season!!
I'd...
I went on and on so much in the last post I forgot about the original question!
I'd say 8 out of 10 of the Top 10 would be B-Sides nowadays, leaving a lot of smooth, blank vinyl on a lot of A-Sides!!!! Can you imagine the blank side being more interesting??? I can!

Actually, up until very recently, I've still been buying 45's with new music on them. How it works nowadays is:
EPIC label artists have the same song, same mix, both sides, usually no picture sleeve, just a generic EPIC sleeve.
WEA label artists USUALLY have TWO hits on one record, with...
I'm sorry if that came off a little crabby yesterday, but I had quite a day...I had my uncle's funeral in the morning and then I had to work 4:30 to 12:30. A little long for my taste and quite draining.
I still don't see why everyone is flipping out over those wee little clips missing.
Well, then, what exactly is missing?
If anything is missing, isn't everyone just happy to have pretty much MOST of it? This happened with someone trying to trade a series with me, of which I have MOST of the episodes. This was not good enough. Well, now, they have NONE of the episodes...
Yeah, the old original stuff is much better than the re-records, IMHO, and I had most of it on an album (8-track, actually) put out by K-Tel called "Gordon Lightfoot -- Fantastic!" These were the original recordings and was very satisfying.
