Even the simplest mechanics in a ventriloquist dummy like moving eyes, eyebrows or upper lip snare are all under more of what you have in mind. I would also check out building Vent figures as they probably have some very easy to follow illustrations and instructions on how to design your own...
Wow, those are incredibly cute little critters you created there. Very nice. They really fit nicely in the palm of your hand there. Is that fleece may I ask that you used? The color is so vibrant. Did you buy the material that way or did you dye it somehow?
Isn't every show at least once or twice taped? At least for reference or to look back on for the actors. Sometimes it's not an outside videographer that is hired but just someone within the theater group that video tapes it.
Hey, if you like seams galore and really stubby looing hands, then fork over the $100! lol. I'll pass, thank you. These are a step above Hallmark spinner rack kiddie hand puppets. But that's what's it's there for, the kids; so I guess not bad. But not to be confused with a pro puppet.
Wow, check out those seams. I don't think that's antrom fleece they're using. These are basically on the same level as Puppet productions christian style puppets; better eyes, that's about it.

LOL... Again, you guys don't see the point. Let me make it clear that it is NOT puppet building job, it is for costuming/draping. This is not about puppet building which is why it shouldn't even be in this thread to begin with.
Ah, ok; before you all go blindly down the yellow brick road; have you seen the way the Muppet Show characters have looked in the past three years since PH started building them? Disney decided to cheap out because Henson charges about $10k too much for Di$ney to spend, because ya know Di$ney is...
