Thanks Skye, it's great how these things always stay with us! :)
It also perhaps explains how easily generous he was later on. It's something we often overlook in life, how little gestures can mean a lot to people.
Hope you had a great holiday too!
Just because you don't like a movie doesn't mean you're not open to things. I always try to find the value in people. :)
And I did find some value in VMX. That just doesn't lessen the bad for me. Sometimes in cases such as these, you just feel the bad needs to be protested. Justice isn't just...
I'm just sharing my own feelings. And I've said many times that I thought Kermit's realization at the end was nice. Just not enough for me to really want to see the movie again. I'm not telling anyone they can't have their own opinion. :)
Sometimes you just don't like movies though, hehe. I think VMX could have had a good story but the jokes just pulled it down in my opinion. Older Muppet movies didn't have to try so hard to seem adult.
I did appreciate its good message, but it was overtaken by the jadedness and trying too hard to seem adult. The older projects didn't have to try as hard to be adult.
Pretty typical, unfortunately.
That's exactly what disatisfied Muppet fans are often trying to say.
It's sad that a pioneering show had to suddenly overall itself simply because a new kid on the block gained popularity. I'm even more convinced I should show my kids the DVDs that lean...
Completely understandable! ;) Glad your holiday went well!
And I guess what I meant is it sounds like Richard always said what he felt and that can sometimes make people uncomfortable, even and perhaps especially, adults, heh. I remember one of the workshop people in that Quilting with the...
Wow, to think at least two people in the world did that at roughly the same time! :insatiable: ;)
I guess the part that stood out to me was about being teased in school because I could identify. I remember in school, kids who were very open with themselves were often threatening to other kids...
I agree; I have Muppet fan friends my own age who like some of the newer projects when I don't. No matter what the age, your pov has a lot to do with it. :)
Overall, I think Sesame Street introduced the raw basics of death; while Fraggle Rock explorered some of the emotions associated with death we feel as we get older.
Absolutely, I'm tired of this myth people keep buying into (especially parents) that kid's shows must be simple, dumb downed and...
I spend some time reading it in the store today, lol (may have to wait for my birthday!). Definitely appreciate the time given to Richard Hunt. ;)
I'm not sure the whole world needs to know about certain cast members' lives. That felt a little odd to me personally.
However, it was nice to...
I wouldn't go the bootleg direction just yet; there's still the chance the price could go down or that Season 4 is eventually released. There are always possibilities.
