Before I read this thread I saw those bus pics and thought that WAS RKunkler with the bus. I'm thinking it was either the winners of the Ebay auction, a special car show or exhibit like someone here suggested, OR perhaps it was down in North Carolina where they filmed Muppets From Space because...
The Cinema Arts Centre's MySpace has posted pics from the Muppet event (for those who have MySpace.) Here's the direct link: http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=15606046&MyToken=34816ec4-3599-43e2-ade8-10088c613d94
I was excited when Craig mentioned during the Commercials & Experiments screening that they are working with the local Maryland TV stations to put out a boxed set of Jim's early TV work!
Yeah the place was very camera friendly. The curator Alan had mentioned that to me on the phone when I first called to inquire about tix, etc. I know every place has their own photography rules so I wanted to ask that before I brought my camera with me and risk having it confiscated. I was so...
That whole scenario I witnessed with your sister and her friend reminded me of this story my father always tells about when he had to go on a class trip with my younger sister (she's in her mid 20s now) to the zoo and he got stuck chaperoning this other little girl who wanted my father to buy...
Wait a minute, Sarah if you don't mind my asking: were you the one with the two kids in the lobby saying to them "You're not related to them hence have no obligation to buy them anything". I saw a young woman saying that to two kids and I have to say it cracked me up. :) Who were those kids? And...
I now have pics up on my Flickr account: www.flickr.com/photos/melissay1 and in the Celebrity photo album (along with older Muppet related pics) on my MySpace: www.myspace.com/melissay1
I had a fabulous time. It was great meeting Ploobis and ChellisPal. Went to the Q&A, the Commercials & Experiments and Labyrinth screening which rocked. Got my pic with Dave Goelz and Gonzo, Jane Henson and took pics at the panel discussion. Was disappointed I didn't get to see Fran Brill...
Ok, kids, I have one extra ticket for the Commercials and Experiments screening as well as Labyrinth. I will sell them at $10 each as I had to pay for these and the person I bought them for is no longer coming. Please private message me here so we can make plans to meet up tomorrow and make...
I agree. I think that's the most weakest thing with the Muppet material these days: the writing for the characters. I know we lost Jerry Juhl in recent years, etc. but surely the folks at Henson can find some fine writers with the exception of a few good ones they still have like Jim Martin...
I totally agree. And I hate when people think all it takes to perform a character is the VOICE. I can't tell you how many people have passed through this site and other Muppet fan sites saying "I really want to work for the Muppets because i can do Kermit (or any character's) voice". It takes...
I MAY have two tix for the panel to spare and PAID tix for Commercials & Experiments and Labyrinth which depending on if my other friend is going to take them, I will sell them to someone here who is definitely coming on Saturday. I will not know more details until later this week...I offered...
There IS no public "archives center" in NYC. There is an archive division of the Jim Henson Company that is only open to employees within their offices. Any puppets, etc. are stored elsewhere that are also not open to the public. The Jim Henson Company does not give public tours to their...
