At different times in my life, I've wanted to be a cat, a princess, and an artist. Now that I'm pursuing my English degree and have developed a love for the written word, I want to be a writer.
As of now, I think Penguins is Nickelodeon's only decent show. At a time when everything else on Nick is loud, in your face, and/or loaded with obnoxious teenyboppers, it actually takes the risk of doing something different, and it works. Though as characters, I did always think the penguins...
I have a few:
-"Wait, what?"
-"Cheese and crackers!" (in exasperation)
-"Kiss, pookie." (when I see an attractive guy or gal ;) on TV)
- several that can't be said here (yeah, I'm a potty mouth. :o)
I'm a proud 90s kid (I was 2 1/2-12 in the 90s), so I have a lot:
Fresh Prince of Bel-Air
Full House
Salute Your Shorts
Star Trek TNG
The Simpsons (yeah, I know it's still on today, but it was its best in the 90s!)
All That
Kenan and Kel
Roseanne
...to name a few. Also, I know a lot of these...
Nothing personal, but usually, when people talk about how things being so dumbed down is a sign of the Apocalypse, as you say, that's usually tongue-in-cheek. Sometimes I think people take things way too seriously on all sides. Everybody, just chill out and watch/listen to/read things you enjoy.
I have a funny story about Idiocracy (one of my favorite non-Muppet movies, BTW) that's related to this. I heard that one reason said movie got virtually no publicity when it first came out six years ago is that test audiences.....didn't get the joke. :skeptical: Wow. People here really are...
The Room (2003)- While I do find this movie entertaining, that's mostly because it's so bad. I can't believe anyone would greenlight it.
Titanic: The Legend Goes On (2000)- Another one I know thanks to the Nostalgia Critic. Seriously, WHY?
Pocahontas (1995)- I do like a couple of songs from it...
I do! User name's ElectricMayhem87. I have a few videos, mostly about animal rights issues and rants about Westboro Baptist Church:boo:, but my latest video (made a year ago) is a rant about how Nickelodeon is horrible now. Check it out!
