Quick update: the concert with Bob McGrath that is scheduled earlier in the day is booked to capacity according to the Brooklyn Library's website under the event information....
Koch is no longer putting these out. I received an email from my preorder for these CD's from Deep Discount CD.com saying they have been discontinued by the manufacturer.
Not anymore. I just got an email from Deep Discount DVD that the products have been discontinued by the manufacturer. I preordered the CDs from them. Anyone else receive this as well?
lol Well November is a busy month for me, I'm going to be in Vegas the weekend before so since this event is between that and Thanksgiving weekend (which is always busy for people) I may actually want one weekend to hibernate.
Wasn't sure if this was posted elsewhere on the site. There's going to be another Sesame 40th anniversary panel discussion in Brooklyn at the Brooklyn Library. Details are here: http://www.brooklynpubliclibrary.org
Check out the Events page, Nov. 21st. It's FREE and earlier in the day Bob is...
I got an email from Amazon today saying the shipping would be delayed for this (which I guess means the release date has been pushed back?) I had to confirm the delay and that I was still interested in the item, so it's still on my pre-order list...
I have to say I'm with Muppetfan. I know everyone's entitled to their opinion, thankfully Steve IS back, and I am happy that the thread has turned positive. I'm not trying to stir up trouble other than to say I totally agree with him/her and I think there was alot of overreacting over nothing.
I don't know why I like Tony so much. I think it has partly to do with the fact that if he were a person I'd find him hot LOL I think tigers are beautiful animals, I love that his voice is the same guy who did all the singing in The Grinch Who Stole Christmas, and I just like the fact he's been...
I don't think Jim Henson's funeral is so odd to have. I was on the fence about getting a copy for a long time and finally bought one recently also from IOffer.com :) I figured since it was more of a celebration anyway and the event was open to the public it's not like I was peering in at some...
I bought it on a really great bootleg DVD off of IOffer.com I can't wait to finally see this for the first time this holiday season...I'm guessing the reason this has never come out is it has something to do with John Denver's estate and/or copyright issues with the music.
I saw this. It was cute. Yeah you couldn't hear Gonzo at all which was disappointing. I was able to hear enough though that it was Dave Goelz but between everyone cheering, etc. you couldn't really hear him. I thought the Muppet Show dance by Aaron was horrendous lol
This video made me cry. One of the most magical things to me about watching the Muppets is to see them interact with children and how much they believe in them and when it's to cheer up the lives of children with health issues, it really warms the heart. I also had come across a great YouTube...
This is not an uncommon practice: Betsy Palmer who played the original Mrs. Voorhies in the original Friday the 13th movie was asked to appear in the second film for far less money. Betsy thought this was a crock because Paramount who released Friday the 13th had made loads of money off the...
I'm with the good Dr. here. I don't buy the comments at all about Steve being a "diva" as he's become a friendly accquaintance of mine over the years, but I wouldn't disregard the fact that someone who works with Sesame Street Live may have over heard something and told Starfilter. I know SS...
Good point. Well, if this is the direction Disney is going with the characters, I'm personally not surprised. I have been very less than impressed with Disney's films, products and marketing since the mid 90's. Although I just saw a commercial for that new Disney animated film The Princess and...
Gosh I don't know. Thanks for the link. Unfortunately I don't think so because I already am going away in October and it's a busy month in general for me right now. :(
Unfortunately I didn't get to go to Muppetfest that year. The distance, costs and personal fears of flying at the time all were factors in deciding not to go, but I hear it was an incredible time.
