Pre-Order "Sesame Street: 20 and Still Counting" on DVD

True, I remembered the DVD cover had the pic of Kermit on it after I made my post:o But I do hope that ALL of the Kermit scenes are there and it's not edited. It would be a real shame.

Pre-Order "Sesame Street: 20 and Still Counting" on DVD

I really hope they keep the Kermit skits in and the whole special intact. To this day this is still my favorite out of all the Sesame Anniversary specials (I thought the Street We Live on was hugely disappointing). But I am excited that this coming out on DVD since I taped it when it first aired...

Stuffed & Unstrung! (Puppet Up in New York!)

I hope everyone who goes to this has a FANTASTIC time and please give full reports here. It kills me that even though I'm in the NYC area, I won't be able to make these shows as I have alot of expenses including 3 weddings coming up (one my sister's) and have to save up some money. I would love...

Muppets at the 2010 Academy Awards?

My sister and I were thrilled out of all the clips they showed of his work they chose that.

    Help Contacting Amy Van Gilder

I would contact her via Henson's offices in California, as that's where the bulk of their operations are these days. I'm sure there's an address in the FAQ here.

Steve Whitmire Lecture/Workshop at the Center for Puppetry Arts

Ah, that makes sense as well. I've been reading your posts here about the workshop and lecture and it sounds like it was an amazing experience. I've been friendly with Steve since I was 13 years old (I'm now 32) and I last saw him in 2003, and the last time before that was 1999, and I smiled at...

Steve Whitmire Lecture/Workshop at the Center for Puppetry Arts

Those are all an interesting selection of songs. Steve is a known huge Rocky Horror fan so it's no surprise he chose Time Warp, and actually that's a perfect song for beginning performers as it has the different parts, male and female and also different speeds that you can learn mouth movements...

    New York Creature Shop

As someone who interned at the old Workshop over on E. 67th St, I don't believe the relocation is open to the public as the other workshop wasn't either. I read several months back that they were considering relocating yet again to Long Island City which is close enough to NYC but has a bit...

Cloud Forest and Animal Show Coming to DVD!

Very cool news! I used to check out the Animal Show once in awhile when it was on and it was a fun show and had some of the most amazing realistic animal puppets I've seen from Henson. And Steve and Dave were of course great as Stinky and Jake. Any word if it will also be out on DVD in the UK? I...

Steve Whitmire Lecture/Workshop at the Center for Puppetry Arts

That sounds awesome! I look forward to it, and I should give your page a daily visit and add it to my Favorites. It's a great site I just haven't gotten fully immersed in it yet.

Steve Whitmire Lecture/Workshop at the Center for Puppetry Arts

It sounds like it was an amazing experience and thanks to everyone who attended for giving away as much as they could without spoiling it for others who may take future lectures. Having met Steve and being friendly with him over the years I can just imagine how amazing it was to actually have...

Muppets take Manhattan Sing a Long Screening at 92Y Tribeca NYC

LOL Unfortunately I will be taking friends to dinner next Saturday night otherwise I would love to go to this. I'm sure it would be something to witness indeed, DW!

Steve Whitmire Lecture/Workshop at the Center for Puppetry Arts

Yet another eerie similarity between him and Jim Henson. Jim Henson was a workaholic from watching various interviews with Henson folks over the years. My favorite story of that was Dave Goelz on a CNN special talking about how Jim had oral surgery one day and came back to the set (I believe it...

'The Muppet Movie' to be preserved by Library of Congress

That is totally awesome and I totally agree with it. I love the other Muppet films, but I grew up with the Muppet Movie and I still to this day think it's the best one out of all of them, if only because it was such a groundbreaking film for the Henson empire: filming the characters outside...

Steve Whitmire Lecture/Workshop at the Center for Puppetry Arts

I would so jump on this and make a trip if I could afford to right now, but I was just away in Vegas in November, and I have major expenses coming up in the new year including hopefully finding a place to live and moving out of my parents' house, my sister's wedding, etc.

Steve Whitmire Lecture/Workshop at the Center for Puppetry Arts

Welcome, Katie. Your avatar is very cool, and pretty and fitting for this time of year! :) That's very exciting you're going to the workshop. You must tell us all about it!

Steve Whitmire Lecture/Workshop at the Center for Puppetry Arts

I've only been to the Javitz center once myself. I went there a few years back for the NY Comic Con, which was alot of fun, but the surrounding area is kind of sketchy especially late at night.

Steve Whitmire Lecture/Workshop at the Center for Puppetry Arts

It's a decent area. If anything, the Javitz Center is in a seedier section.

Steve Whitmire Lecture/Workshop at the Center for Puppetry Arts

I would imagine he'd have to do it someplace that big however, that would take out the intimacy of the class. I think the 92nd Street Y would be an interesting place, or even the Paley Center for Media (formerly the Museum of T.V. and Radio). I saw Muppeteer Tyler Bunch do a great puppeteering...
