Disney Takes Muppet Script Through Pixar

I don't mind CGI as a tool at all. Disney was using CGI for certain effects in their mainly hand drawn films as far back as the mid to late 80s and early 90s. I have no issue with that at all. I just don't get the obsession with CGI and now the 3-D movies that half of them weren't really...

Disney Takes Muppet Script Through Pixar

Honestly, hand drawn. I like hand drawn animation better, lousy story or not.

Disney Takes Muppet Script Through Pixar

I've only seen the first Toy Story film and even that was quite some time ago. It was cute but I wasn't amazed by it, so I never pursued the other two, though I heard the third one was really great.

Disney Takes Muppet Script Through Pixar

Oh I know, that's why I gave up on many of Disney's hand drawn films a long time ago because of the weak stories. The last one I really genuinely remember enjoying was Hunchback of Notre Dame. The new Winnie the Pooh film sounds great though. I just appreciate the art of hand drawn animation...

Muppet Show Season 4 coming in 2013

Yes it would since hopefully I"ll be in my new home by then, and wont' be able to afford fun stuff like DVDs for awhile, I'll finally have something to tell my family what to get me for Christmas as they're always running out of ideas since I buy myself stuff as it comes out all the time :)

Disney Takes Muppet Script Through Pixar

From what little I've seen of it, it's fine because while I always thought CGI was cool as a tool, and I get why studios use it today, it's fine. But Sid the Science Kid and the Frances series and some of the other stuff they branched off with doing the CGI is separate from the usual...

Disney Takes Muppet Script Through Pixar

Ryan, Never meant to imply that it was going to be a CGI film. I know exactly why they are turning to Pixar for story and character development, etc. It's a very smart move on their part. I was only joking with my original comment because I'm just not a fan of CGI, Pixar or not. I am sure...

Disney Takes Muppet Script Through Pixar

I'm just not a CGI fan, Pixar or not. I'm VERY old school lol

Disney Takes Muppet Script Through Pixar

Long as they don't turn it into a full CGI movie :) But something that has substance with a good story and some heart, I'm all for it.

    Events section

Phillip and other board moderators: Wanted to run a polite suggestion by you guys: I was wondering if it would be possible to start up a section on here where people can post upcoming Muppet/Henson related events either regionally or for various things. I know we would normally post things...

Your Thoughts: Sesame Street 20 and Still Counting DVD

Very nice review Phillip! I'm glad that the special has been kept in tact. That's weird you can hear the faint sounds of the original broadcast's commercials in there. Funny because I remember the Clorox ad since I still have my copy on tape from when it first aired lol I got an email that...

    Favorite Ernie & Bert Moments

I like the Number 6 song as well. I especially like when the song changes when Bert sings "When people say hey Bert pick a number, I always pick the one nobody picks...."

Rumor: Big Bird only in four Season 41 episodes

I agree, while I haven't watched Sesame Street much the past several seasons, from what I have caught here and there, it's a very changed show. However, I don't think it's necessarily a change for the worst. Do I like that there's whole gaps of showtime dedicated to Elmo and Abby, no but I DO...

Muppet Show Season 4 coming in 2013

I'm guessing at this point, since we're already in mid summer here in the states, it probably won't be out until the Fall or they may just hold out until the holiday season which is a great time to release stuff since people will be gift buying.

    Favorite Ernie & Bert Moments

Oh goodness, there's so many...but off the top of my head, the Egyptian tomb one, the old school Bert has a purple hand, the one where Ernie's taking a bath with the bowling ball, flashlight, etc. Anything where Ernie had a radio because I always thought the music that came out of it was funny...

Hoggle in a David Bowie video!

I think both these videos are amazing, but I prefer the one for Underground because I like the animated segment as well as when all the characters show up at the end.

    Sesame and this year's Emmys

You're very upset about this, aren't you, Dr. Tooth? lol I definitely understand where you're coming from though.

    Sesame and this year's Emmys

That's awesome. I met Robin Strasser at the Broadway flea market back in 2005 along with some of the other OLTL and soap people (my mom's a diehard OLTL and AMC fan). I have to say she is much prettier in person than on T.V. The cameras dont' do her justice. She was really sweet too and...

    Sesame and this year's Emmys

Oh I know lots of people still enjoy game shows, my mom included and I'll tune in occassionally myself, but I don't think anyone like us to see the Sesame categories, I dont' think anyone was waiting to see people from Price Is Right on and if they won or not. I totally agree there should be...

"The World of Jim Henson" 1994 documentary

This is probably one of the best T.V. bios I've seen on Jim over the years. I wish PBS would put it out on DVD and sell it.
