No you're not. I don't think packing this film with celebrities is going to make people flock to this. Of course part of the reason I go to see any film is to see certain actors and so forth, but not the sole reason. I just really hope this film will be good and prove me wrong on my not so...
I had mixed feelings about the Glee episode. I thought the music was done very well. I had no issue with the girl playing Frank, because many females do play Frank at the local theaters. My biggest gripe was the changing around/cutting of some of the lyrics to the songs and not enough screentime...
I never heard of Steve performing in Ave. Q. Because of his busy schedule, it would've been impossible for him to do the show for a certain amount of performances. It's highly possible he was at a performance and they brought him up on stage and he gave a speech. I'm sure he went to see it at...
Spencer's is a bizarre stuff. They have a lot of novelty/junk stuff, a lot of racy and "adult" stuff, and then you find fun/nostalgia type stuff like the Muppet items mentioned here (I gotta go get Kermit socks now)
I'm also a big Rocky Horror fan and in the past have gotten some cool Rocky...
I really enjoyed meeting Noel at the Toonseum booth at the NY Comic Con. He was one of the nicest, most pleasant guys I've met not only affiliated with the Muppets but in general, and seemed to be having alot of fun.
Dw, have you ever seen the TV movie "Mother Goose Rock N' Rhyme" with the all star cast playing the nursery rhyme characters? Little Richard plays Old King Cole and he looks like he's having a ball on that too. :)
When I met Valerie Harper at the annual Broadway flea market back in 2005, I mentioned to her I enjoyed her appearance on the show and she lit up like a Christmas tree and gushed about how much fun she had on the show. :) She said she loved dressing up like Marilyn Monroe, etc. for the one...
I worked on this episode when I was a Jim Henson Company workshop intern back in 1999! I built props for the show (all the little goodies the characters get while trick or treating and the chocolate corn on the doors of the character's houses :))
Bear wore a blonde Goldilocks type of wig...
I met him on Sunday, and got a pic with him. Really very genuinely nice man and he took a lot of time with people. I had him sign my The Wisdom of Big Bird book....and I'm delighted to have finally gotten him to sign it after all this time. Plus I found out I have a first edition printing of the...
There's not TOO many Muppet related places to visit in New York. You can always visit the places featured in Muppets Take Manhattan since most of those are huge touristy type places anyway like Empire State Building, etc. You can always visit the Church of St. John the Divine where Jim's...
I also think people whining about the dress is ridiculous. Yes, she showed some cleavage, but it wasn't anything extravagant. The clothes they have for kids today are ridiculous, and I'm sure some (and I say some, not all) of the parents out there who are complaining are the same ones will buy...
Ah, thank you for the explanation. I'm not in the area so I won't be giong anyway, but I'm glad to hear it's back on. I've met Dave a couple of times now (and Gonzo too) and he's a really nice guy.
