New Muppet Movie to be Filled with Cameos

A handful were, but went onto become very famous, but most were Hollywood royalty.

New Muppet Movie to be Filled with Cameos

I always loved that in the films. It was always great in the old Warner Bros. cartoons too

    Spencer's Muppet Merchandise

They always had the adult stuff in the back, at least at my local Spencer's. That was always the funniest thing about the place: You'd go in and see all these fun hats, and stickers, etc. and then WOAH :D

    Spencer's Muppet Merchandise

lol Oh those Snuggies are the worst: the commericals display people actually having a hard time trying to function while wrapped in a blanket...can't say I've ever experienced those issues.

New Muppet Movie to be Filled with Cameos

Barbara Eden? Now THAT would be cool!

New Muppet Movie to be Filled with Cameos

Didn't know the details about Grodin turning down the role. Makes sense then, I guess. The girl from Precious, Gabourey Sibidibe is actually a pretty prominent character on the Showtime series "The Big C" which by the way just had an AMAZING season finale...

New Muppet Movie to be Filled with Cameos

Exactly, Frogboy. Great examples! Yeah Cloris Leachman is more popular lately than she ever was it seems. It's amazing to see how some of these actors have completely had a whole "resurgence" in recent years. Look at Betty White!

New Muppet Movie to be Filled with Cameos

I gotta go back adn watch Letters to Santa. I recorded it and haven't watched it since it first aired. It was overall pretty forgettable, however had some potential. VMX I completely hated on every level, again with a few heartfelt moments in there, but not enough for me to get into it.

New Muppet Movie to be Filled with Cameos

You hit the nail on the head, Beaker as far as what's severely lacking in Muppet projects these days.

New Muppet Movie to be Filled with Cameos

Didn't think you were being nasty at all. It's all good:cool: Exactly, if you're going to put celebs in there, I'd rather see people like Clooney, Jolie, etc. I just don't consider folks like Jack Black among the elite, although I admit would be a better fit with the Muppets. Yes, I heard...

No I never found feetie pajamas comfortable as a kid: I couldn't imagine wearing them now. I'd feel like my feet were constricted. I wear slipper socks to bed nowadays and I get hot during the night sometimes, but at least I can slip those on and off easily unlike feetie pajamas :)

New Muppet Movie to be Filled with Cameos

Oh, no argument that they're successful people. I just think it's a flash in the pan kind of thing. I think the reason the first 3 Muppet films stood out the way they did is because they got such huge names, that are overall timeless that even watching say, Muppets Take Manhattan its fun to see...

New Muppet Movie to be Filled with Cameos

I'm a diehard Muppet fan too, have been for my soon to be 33 years of life, and I'm not saying who is in this movie will deter me from watching it. I just don't think getting the latest Hollywood "A" listers will make this movie any better. I really do hope this movie has a lot of TLC put into...

New Muppet Movie to be Filled with Cameos

Telly Savalas was a well established actor by the time the Muppet Movie came out. He had already done countless films and television projects by that point. I'll agree with you on Madeline Kahn and Steve Martin though. I understand the point about getting stock actors or people that the...

New Muppet Movie to be Filled with Cameos

Alan Arkin and Billy Crystal I'll give ya, but Jack Black? I personally don't find him funny or get why he's famous, but to each their own. I definitely wouldn't put him in the same category as the other two though.

    Spencer's Muppet Merchandise

Well excuse me, Dr. :p I'm playing with ya, LOL But back on topic, yeah, feetie pj's for adults...not cool. At least I got the nice regular Kermit woman's pajamas at Macy's a few years back.

    Spencer's Muppet Merchandise

This is true. Yeah I saw the original film soundtrack actually placed pretty nicely on the Billboard music charts, which was nice to see because of that episode!

    Steve Whitmire with Avenue Q?

Good call on using the visual aids! :) Thanks for clearing up the confusion
  19. MelissaY1

New Muppet Movie to be Filled with Cameos

Yeah but at least at the time of the original early Muppet films, the celebrities that had cameos were pretty for the most part legendary stars, not "flavor of the month" actors like the people who are rumored to be in this new film. It's still thrilling to see Orson Welles turn around in his...

Muppets Take Manhattan on the Hub 11/7

Sorry if this has been mentioned but did they cut out the Joan Rivers/Miss Piggy scene? I only saw some of this on HUB and that was the only cut I noticed from what I saw.
