This project sounds wonderful! And it's filmed not far from me on Long Island. There's a great film studio out in Bethpage where a lot of new stuff is being filmed, including Kevin James' new TV show, this and I think a few movies as well.

Yeah I know they had someone else performing him recently, but I didn't know Steve was out of the picture for good until he discussed this at the event. He said it was a "long story" curious to know what happened there, and rather disappointed to hear. I think he did a great job with Ernie.

Absolutely. We saw the screening of the film when it premiered at the NY Doc festival in November of 2014. Jerry's widow, Jan was sitting a few rows behind us. I started bawling. And Yes i cried through most of the film as well.
