The Count: I wish there were summaries on the library page so each title wouldn't be like a book with a blank cover. That'd be a big task to expect one person to do, though. If authors provide you with short summaries, would you be willing to post them?
The general forum rules honestly...
Re KG: Ah, OK. I haven't been here very long, and there library is intimidatingly large. I don't know where to start because the titles often don't give much hint as to what's in the story, and there are no story descriptions.
I'd rather be nagged to produce more than see silence...
Lil0Vampy, thanks!
I love it when it brings good employment news!
Heh, I figured it'd be pretty obvious to anyone with half a brain. Which explains why Sam was so easily snared.
I got them from "Before You Leap." Have they been mentioned anywhere else? I don't even see them in the Muppet wiki...
It's Friday the 13th! I just found out that it's 99% certain that my contract with the SEC will be renewed for another year, so to celebrate here's a big honkin' chapter of...
Muppets from Earth
Part 9: Liberty and Justice
*****
It was a cheerful and sunny morning. The day began at the...
Oh, now you're just being silly.</JohnCleese>
The name I have in mind is one he shares with at least two other Muppet characters. Or more, depending on how you count. His mother didn't name him after people who had not yet become famous by the time he-who-would-be-known-as-Dr.-Teeth was...
*chuckles* No, the good Doctor's name is not Clyde. It's something that probably nobody would guess, but hardcore Muppet fans would probably slap me inna face with a fish for.
Don't worry, there'll be more for Rowlf and Dr. Teeth. But the next ep stars a certain blue, beaky twit...
Gelfling Girl:
I have it on good authority - Robert A. Heinlein - that he was. I'm occasionally a redhead myself.
Lil0Vampy: These chapters certainly were intense to write. I tend to get inside of the characters as I write for, so all this Weirdo abuse is taxing. HOW long 'til that...
TogetherAgain:
For me, that's getting past the first draft. I have a terrible time, sometimes, pulling words out of my brain and lining them up in a way that I hope makes sense. Once I finish that it's relatively easy (but much more time-consuming) to batter it into final shape.
So glad I...
"Gambling on the score." I don't believe I didn't catch that. She on me. I've been researching marriage laws and citizenship qualifications and just what is involved in giving a deposition, all the funny leaked out of my brain.
More will come, but not immediately, as I'm now writing the...
Pictures? I was supposed to draw all this? Yeesh, and I've been wasting time doodling Camilla's little sea turtle.
I wouldn't call that bet gambling. I'd call it friendly one-upmanship. Dr. Teeth wouldn't have accepted such an odd challenge if he didn't already have an idea in mind, and...
Muppets from Earth
Part 8: Musical Interlude
*****
The Muppets had finally reclaimed their theater. All of the construction, deconstruction, and reconstruction was complete at long last, and the house and lobby—and any other areas that would be seen by the public—had been painted. The...
I have no kids of my own, but I've been known to play the Muppet Youtube videos for my niece and nephew. My niece loved the "classical Chicken" skit, possibly because my sister and I occasionally cluck the chicken version of "Baby Face." (That is but one of the many weird gags we've held over...
I have found in my experiences that people I talk to are familiar with the Muppets and have fond memories of them. They know the Muppets already, so they're not going to go nuts over them they way they may do with something new and shiny like Avatar, WoW, Twilight, Harry Potter, yadda yadda...
Gelfling Girl, thanks! Epic, huh? Does this mean I'm going to have to writen an interminable poem in Gaelic about it? ;)
Muppetfan44, thanks, I think. Heh. Larry Niven, one of my three all-time favorite authors and the biggest influence on my writing style, said that "It is a sin to...
Heh, I have two of the 12" darkwings. One was a birthday gift, and the other was sent to me by a net.friend who was giving away old fannish stuff. I painted one up to look like Negaduck.
I agree with Drtooth, there is no identifiable canon with the Muppets. There are so many contradictions and conflicts, there's just no way to resolve them all. The closest you can do is work out themes that run through them all, like Piggy pursuing Kermit.
That said, I have my personal...
I remember Isis Vanderchill. I know Nodoff existed, but heck if I can remember anything about him at the moment.
Dragaunus and Wadsworth the Butler... dunno about the skeletal guy. The Lord of Darkness was anything but skeletal.
He also sounds like a big cloud, a rooster, and a clown.
You may be right about it being a second series. Again, I'll have to check to be sure. All I know for sure is that there was another wave that got canceled.
I seem to remember Morgana McCawber being in that line. Something about her having split-open hair. Argh. Now I can't wait to get...
