"I'm Gonna Always Love You at Age 6" on YouTube. As the title suggests, a 6 year old boy singing the song (he even strums a ukulele to it) for some talent show type thing. It's pretty cute.
There's this one radio ad that bugs me every time I hear it... it's for a car dealer, probably Nissan, advertising a "big" sale. But oh no, "it's not just big, it's biiiiiiiiiig." And like most local car commercials it features an annoying deep voiced fast talking announcer trying to sound...
There's one commercial that's been stuck in my head for ages that I do in fact remember what it was advertising for, and I've always wanted to see it again. I know this isn't exactly the right thing for this thread, but it's close enough.
It's for Hawaiian Punch, probably from the late 90s, it...
There hasn't been any plans on bringing back either series to Netflix from what I know. There's plenty of Henson stuff still up there, The Muppet Movie, various Sesame Street episodes, Being Elmo and Labyrinth. I still wish Fraggle Rock was kept there though.
I haven't watched them, nor have I even heard of them existing, but I'll try to watch them some other time. Meanwhile, I should mention that I have a Puff The Magic Dragon album on 33RPM. Sad thing is he's rarely ever acknowledged throughout the record.
A few weeks ago I saw The Monkees' "Head" on TV, a really bizarre movie from the late 60s in which Annette makes a cameo as a girl trying to commit suicide, if I remember correctly. Besides that I didn't see much of her before. But she seems like a great talent. Shame to hear she's gone.
I've seen these things at Walmart recently, they're single disc DVDs, mostly of TV shows (Petticoat Junction, She-Ra, The Animated Dick Tracy, etc.) on CARDS! It just seemed like the strangest thing to me. I was wondering if any of you had experiences with these DVDs, or if you were interested...
I'm not entirely sure what you mean by "talkback" but I never realized Jim Jinkins created all those shows before. I remember almost all of them, some better than others. I don't really remember the shows that well to say much about them, but they were all OK from what I recall. Jim definitely...
Bradley P. Richfield... he's one of my favorite characters on Dinosaurs (which I've been watching recently on Netflix, and ironically yesterday I saw the last episode where the snow age comes in and freezes the dinosaurs to death)
I don't know much of Sherman Hemsley's career, but his voice for...
I only remember 2 back covers with Big Bird, Ernie and Bert (plus Mickey Mouse, maybe Bugs Bunny and Winnie the Pooh, and of course the original Golden Book characters) but I never recall any with Oscar. One with a green backgrounds with all the characters on a train, and the more common one...
I love the Muppets with People Eyes tumblr. I wonder what ever happened to it.
And yes, the large eyed fight scene Piggy from the Muppet Movie still kinda weirds me out. Where did they even come up with that?
My mom loved these sorts of shows back in the 70s, and I've loved them ever since I was little. Pufnstuf's always fun to watch - any Krofft fan has to have watched Pufnstuf at least once - and every now and then Sigmund and the Sea Monsters and The Land of the Lost. My mother recalls watching...
There's a new advertising campaign from Burger King featuring a whatnot-esque blue puppet character in a suit. You don't see him in action much in this ad, but there's another ad where he has a line or two spoken.
