    why were there three gordons?

It's not that unusual to have different actors playing the same characters on a television show with no explanation. Soap Operas do it all the time. Several sitcoms have done it as well, such as the famous change of Darrins on Bewitched, two Marilyns on the Munsters, two Chris Partridges on...

    why were there three gordons?

I have to disagree about Hal Miller looking like Matt Robinson. I don't think Hal Miller looked anything like Robinson with or without a mustache. At the age of five, I knew immediately that Hal Miller was a "new Gordon." Miller certainly didn't look like Orman either. On the other hand, I...

    why were there three gordons?

Sorry, Bear, but I've seen Mikebennidict abuse people on this site for months. I can't be silent about it anymore.

    why were there three gordons?

You were not being overly dramatic at all. You have to understand that Mikebennidict is just looking for an argument; today it's about defending former Sesame Street actors and accusing people of being "overly dramatic", yesterday it was complaining about people making the same points he makes...

    why were there three gordons?

Here's a suggestion. Why don't you learn how to use proper capitalization and correct sentence structure before you criticize anyone else's posts? For someone who can barely put a logical sentence together, you sure are quick to criticize others for what you PERCEIVE to be offensive or...

Couldn't have said it better myself, Jeff. Mike ruins every discussion by turning it into an argument.

Questions we may never know the answer

In just about every Sesame Street book with Herry from the mid-seventies to the present showed him in those pants, although at least one time, I remember that they were polka dots instead of stripes. One Sesame book that does NOT have Herry in his famous pants is "The Together Book" from 1971...

A couple of skits with anything muppets

Thanks, Ziffel. My work place closed early today and may not be open tomorrow. We're waiting for it to make landfall and taking reasonable precautions, but compared to other storms we've faced, this isn't that bad. I think it's still a tropical storm. I love the "I'm first/I'm Last"...

Questions we may never know the answer

With some of those muppets, the answer is definitely yes. Harvey Kneeslapper was in a street skit where he put confetti in Molly the Mail Lady's hat as a prank, however, the tables got turned on him. Little Jerry and the Monotones was in a late 80's skit where they came to Sesame Street and...

Paul Winchell dies June 25, 2005

I'm glad someone else remembered this one. Wheelie and The Chopper Bunch was a short lived (and in my opinion, underrated) HB cartoon from the early 70's. Paul Wichell's characters of Revs, the tongue-tied three wheeled motor bike was one of my favorite characters.

now com on Mike. i wasn't being critical. i thought it was funny. if somebody did that I wouldn't of taken that seriously and probably would of laughed. unless they made some mean comment and it saying no capitalization and bad spelling? doesn't even sound all that bad.

Bottelcap collecting is not that unusual, but paperclip collecting, that's really odd.

    Professor Hastings

It's also possible to have an OPINION outside of what has been documented. Just because it was never written that Professor Hastings was considered a negative stereotype, doesn't mean that it couldn't be true. While it's true that the Sesame Street Unpaved book said nothing about this, it's...

    Professor Hastings

It doesn't matter. I just know it's not true. Whatever I say about Roosevelt becomes the truth, just like whatever you say about Prof. Hastings becomes the truth. Do you see how ridiculous it really sounds to state an opinion as if it was a fact?
