Holy cow but you people are deranged...
I think the Velocikermit is my fave. "The point is, you're still alive when they start to eat you..." -- Cretaceous Park, the hit scifi/horror flick for bugs. No fruit flies under 6 mins old admitted.

Charlie, hope things are smoothing out for you. Remember, you are in the best of all possible worlds right now --
Rhonda: You quoting Voltaire?
Er, no. Just going to point out that being able to live someplace rent-free and leisurely look for a job while doing applications for...

Hiring a hitman to take out one of the nicest guys in showbiz: $500.
The hitman subcontracting to a monster for the hit: $250.
The monster helping the guy he's supposed to take out: Priceless.
For some things in fic, there's plot contrivances...for everything else...

Hi guys. Did I miss much?
Rhonda *scrolls up, reads with wide eyes*
:news: Oh MY. That Stanley is one bad --
Rhonda: Shut yo' mouf. Unless you want another defamation suit from the weasels.
:news: Er... *fumbles with his cuffs nervously* Er, uh, no. You didn't miss much...

So who IS in? Ackroyd obviously...what about Moranis? Ramis? any of the other supporting cast? Who's scripting? Who's directing?
Why yes, I am too danged lazy to go hunting. My eyes hurt. Humor me.

Touching, well-thought-out, and stylistically improved! :) I gives this one the completely unofficial Fic Seal of Approval...Ort, ort, ort! *clap clap*
I especially liked the scenes with Fozzie/Piggy, Gonzo/Scooter, and Kermit's inner musings near the end.
Feeling wrapped up...

Ah, the others are vaguely aware of it, as mentioned many many chapters back, but yes, I was planning another reference to all that soon. Patience, grasshoppa.
Ed, was it obvious that the director Bob was supposed to be one of the long-limbed giant Muppet monsters? I noticed some...
Eh, I really liked the whole Industrial Rev bit, and the Queen and Bond...but yeah. Rowan was COMPLETELY unexpected! I absolutely roared when the light came up on him at the keyboard, and spent the next few mins gasping for air. The man's a comic genius.

Ah, but the Mutations weren't on a cruise -- didn't you catch them playing as the house band for "Break a Leg" and "Monsters Tonight"?
Thanks to Ru for the "Frosted Flies" joke. Ah, bug-food humor!
Glad you guys like so far...big finale still to come...soon! :news:

Er...why not just write for publication, then? Websites for non-fanfic are really kind of unnecessary, aren't they? Why not just try for real publication? The whole point of fanfic sites is for stories using characters NOT your own which cannot be commercially...
Part Forty-Four
The stairs proved slimy and treacherous, and the Newsman reconsidered his choice to descend in darkness. He could hear alarming scratching and skittering noises all around him, and suspected that if he suddenly switched his light on he would see hundreds of creepy-crawlies...

I'm 41 going on 21. Nothing wrong with retaining that sense of wonder, as many here have already said well.
All I can add to that is, don't allow the brutishness of the world to destroy you. Some of the brutes are just that...but some may also remember the awe they felt when...
Yeah..I could see it. Nice reference, you should play on that. Now there's a day job for ya: Philip Seymour Hoffman impersonator! Great for parties! Hey Snowth, how's your priest costume? ;)
