Sam and Friends Book Read our review of the long-awaited book, "Sam and Friends - The Story of Jim Henson's First Television Show" by Muppet Historian Craig Shemin.
When Mokey's in a dark mood she writes sad poems about lost friendship and dull gray birds and stuff. The creative process purges all that sadness, and soon she's back to her usual dreamy self.
I don't think there's a single character in Fraggle Rock with a voice low enough to pull off the...
Rags was the name Mokey gave the dummy Fraggle she threw into Junior Gorg's trap, which he (and then Red and Gobo) believed was Mokey dead. Creepy episode, especially when Mokey was singing and dancing with Rags.
The first material I bought for her robe was burlap. It has a nice, open weave...
Michiel: I've made 4 beand-name Fraggles so far: Boober, Sidebottom, Wembley, and Gobo. Fraggle OCs I've made include Sage, Janken, Shonky, and Derpy. And I made an adult version of Scooter's sister Skeeter. You can find threads on all of these puppets in this subforum.
Erk! I forgot to post a link to the fabric. It's available over here for anyone who wants to clothe their puppet, plushie, pet, or even themselves in banana trees. Or wrap a gift, or paper a wall if you're particularly insane. Enjoy!
Here's my next puppet in progress. I still have to make the legs and feet, and the fabric for her robe hasn't come in, but when I put the robe I made out of old fabric on her I had to share the "goth Mokey" result.
More to come as the puppet approaches completitude.
Whew! And I thought I was getting obscure when I made a replica of Sidebottom Fraggle. I can't place this character and I've seen MCC several times. When I caught a glimpse of the eyes I thought the character was a recycled Begoonie puppet, but that turns out not to be the case. Is he a...
I went out to see Despicable Me 2 again today, and on the way back I went through the mall, and this shirt followed me home. It was $9.99, and it was with the adult t-shirts, not the children's.
Hi, Ru!
It makes more sense that a woman who's had a child would catch on quickly. Red's not injured, she's not sick, she's just big and off-balance and they aren't going to let her play rough sports. Not that she would really take stupid risks now, but she's known for pushing herself too hard...
Thanks. I've had it in the back of my mind that Red would not want to let pregnancy slow her down. Oh, she wouldn't do anything super-risky...but she's pretty close to full term, and her balance is way off. If she tried to skate she'd fall over, and Gobo knows it. Red's used to taking...
A little something I wrote while thinking of Playing Till it Hurts.

Stiff-bristled brooms made from brushlike bundles of needles dropped by trees around the Gorgs' garden whisked over the flat rock floor. This was a special part of the Great Hall...
Thanks, guys! Yeah, Wem is a cute little critter. And I have no idea where he's getting Doozer sticks. I haven't seen a single Doozer construction around here. Or could that be because I have hungry Fraggles on the premises?
I've seen a Fraggle without a shirt, but never a shirt without a Fraggle.
Since the first banana tree shirt was destined for another Wembley, I made shirt 2.0, which is the shirt my Wembley shall be rockin'. And rockin' it he is! Lookit him, playing all cool, munching on that Doozer...
Oh look! Shoes! For women! And I am a woman! I shall immediately click on that link and buy shoes!

"Negaduck" is my original internet pseudonym. It's part of my E-mail address, which I've had since '94. Also my DeviantArt name, et cetera. So, yeah, Negaduck is me, and so is Kim.
Incidentally, when I made a test Wembley shirt, before I had the banana tree fabric, I used yellow fabric and...
