I like this image! What I can see of it. It drives me nuts that I can't zoom in on it and see what all is going on. It looks like the radishes are called "beets." I must be misreading that, but I can't figure out what I ought to be seeing.

The beginning: A ping-pong ball wired to the skull the same way the eyes were, a hot glue gun, and a few million bundles of fuchsia feather barbs. It took about a week to make all of those. Argh. Off-camera is a single white feather for the accents. I glued the...
That was going to be my next suggestion. I do something similar for round shapes like eyelids, tweaking the approach to keep the seams as unobtrusive as possible.
Trial and error! I made 7 skulls for him before getting one with the right shape. It had to have the long, round-ended schnoz, short lower jaw, round cheeks, and overall flexibility of the original puppet. Oh, and the puppeteer's hand has to be able to fit inside it too. That was a tough combo...
Wem has no clue what to wear when he does have his shirts. He'll agonize over which shirt to wear. I imagine the decision is easier when one of his shirts is in the wash...unless he suddenly realizes that nudity is an option...shirt or no shirt? Shirt inside-out or outside-out? And he goes...
