Sam and Friends Book Read our review of the long-awaited book, "Sam and Friends - The Story of Jim Henson's First Television Show" by Muppet Historian Craig Shemin.
For this puppet I used large eye hemispheres from Out Of The Box Puppets for the visible surface. The covered part is a polystyrene ball with the front chopped off.
For other puppets I've used other things. Wembley's eyes are jumbo ping pong balls. Gobo's and Sage's are regular ping pong...
They left out The Muppets Take Manhattan and included The Muppets' Wizard of Oz? Oy.
Also oy to the pic of Piggy. She should have canceled that photo shoot when she was diagnosed with mumps.
I just passed 3000 messages. Well, I didn't just post them all; it's happened over the course of a few years. And over those same years I've accumulated 1342 likes. Yay.
Can we have a club for people who've accumulated exactly 113 trophy points? C'mon, it'd be cool! We could wear funny...
Thanks, Charlietheowl! I had enough of a task trying to replicate her robe, especially finding the right fabric. (It's French terrycloth, which I dyed myself, if anyone's curious.)
muppetfan24/7: Oops, you're right, I forgot to put the necklace on her when I took the photos! I'll correct...
The puppet's finished! Well, I may make a few more tweaks, but here she is!
Mokey Selfie - Finally, a puppet who can take her own photos! Doesn't it figure that she's a worse photographer than I am.
Mokey & Sage - Sage mostly takes after her papa, Boober, but she did get her mother's...

I make Spam musubi myself. That's basically teriyaki-fried spam on a rice block wrapped in nori. You could call it Spam sushi. It's very popular in Hawaii, and it is pretty tasty.
It's amazing that the legendary Al Toth worked on that show. have memories of watching it when I was 4 or 5 and being weirded out by the lips. I couldn't understand why they'd use live lips on cartoon faces. Yeah, I was a left-brained little squirt.
I'm going to Dragon*Con again this year. I just got the Progress Report, which is a small newsprint booklet they send out to preregistered attendees telling about guests, tracks, events, and such. I turned to the Puppetry Track, and look what I saw...
They used a pic of me working Janken...
When I first saw this I thought that the penciler and inker for those comics were two different people, and the inker knew nothing about the muppets and had no reference material. So he misinterpreted the pencils, turned Fozzie's ears into hair, gave Floyd pupils and a sex change...
You can...
Here's a completely random doodle dump...
Bedoodledumpadump: Stuff drawn during meetings, or while waiting for pages to load, or in spare moments, or, well, whenever. Most of the abstract-y stuff was done during meetings. Some bits are fanfic-based, and a few are thumbnails for something...
