Sam and Friends Book Read our review of the long-awaited book, "Sam and Friends - The Story of Jim Henson's First Television Show" by Muppet Historian Craig Shemin.
Really the point I was making in my previous post is that Looney Tunes in general work well in CG. A "Duck Amuck" esque plot does sound a little more complicated to pull off now that you bring it into perspective. I understand the point you are making, and yes, it is fairly more impressive and...
One of my favorite ancient flash animations from the former NESPlayer.com (now NintendoPlayer.com) featuring an 8-bit Big Bird lipsyncing to Cameo's "Word Up". Dug it up out of the Internet Archive. Although the site still has some old flashes, the majority of them have disappeared.
I was working halfway through an audio tribute to Freberg, but I don't think I'll ever finish it as soon as I want, so I'll just link a favorite of mine, of one of his many comedy records:
"I wouldn't ride something called 'High School Ooh-Ooh' if it had a vicuna saddle."
Rest easy, Stan...
I'm not one to nitpick, especially on a thread like this, where it's all just ideas, but this just seems a bit too obvious not to be pointed out...
How on earth could you have a Miss Piggy doll that professes love for "Kermie" and does karate grunts, but DOESN'T say "kissy kissy"? Maybe squeeze...
What has 1 horn and gives milk? A milk truck.
What has 2 horns and gives milk? 2 milk trucks.
What has 3 horns and gives milk? Gladys in a milk truck.
Where did the other milk truck go? Cookie Monster probably ate it or something, I dunno, I'm just doing this on a whim.
Similarly, there is a clip of Kermit and the Elvises promoting their Muppet Classic Theater video on a news program in Texas (taurinecat on YouTube has it) but before they are introduced, a brief clip of Kermit singing The Rainbow Connection in The Muppet Movie is shown, a subtitle below...

:concern:I'm going to Bombay, India to become a movie star.
:oYou don't go to Bombay to become a movie star. You go where we're going: Hollywood!
:concern:Sure, if you wanna do it the easy way!
:o...we picked up a weirdo.

There's a few other big ol' compilation albums, 60 Favorite Songs from Sesame Street, that as far as I can tell only has 2 songs with the Count in them (The Song of the Count and his lines in What's the Name of That Song?) and Sesame Street Treasury which probably has the most Count songs...
Reel FX, in my opinion, has done a fine job in transitioning the Looney Tunes cast into CGI though "I Tawt I Taw A Puddy Tat" and "Daffy's Rhapsody," both adapted from Mel Blanc's Capitol Records singles from the late 40s/early 50s. There's also apparently a series of Road Runner shorts by the...
Wembley staring at the page of Boober's speech which he used to wipe up a spill of blueberry juice in the Fraggle Rock episode "I Don't Care".
Right before he says "I think it says, uh, 'bliffenstimmers!'"
 The crossed eyes are actually the result of something hitting his head... I don't think Wembley's ever crossed his eyes before, and I can't think of how they could do that... maybe it's simpler than I think. Either way, I love this thread! :fanatic: I've always wondered about Wembley's...
I've noticed Leon from the Jim Henson Hour also seems to have an eye mech similar to Wembley's that can roll around and such. There is one thing about him that baffled me though; he crosses his eyes at one point in the Buster Pointdexter episode (his eye rolling is also very much apparent during...
Doesn't the outside casing for Old School 3 have R2D2 on it? Do droids count as celebrities? I know the inside packaging has Harry Belafonte on it too...
There is a montage of clips in 20 Years that represents the international co-productions. First there's parts of the theme songs to...

A belated farewell to Gary Owens, one of the classiest voices I know.
"Roger Ramjet, I salute you. Once more, you've saved your country. Goodbye and good -- *BANG, coughing and gagging*"
The Muppet Wiki has a great wealth of Sesame Street media and information. As far as Sesame fansites go, it doesn't get as thorough as that.
The Sesame Street Lyrics Archive features lyrics to many songs and transcripts of skits, mostly pre-2000s.
Mikey's Muppet Memorobillia Museum has a lot of...
