Sam and Friends Book Read our review of the long-awaited book, "Sam and Friends - The Story of Jim Henson's First Television Show" by Muppet Historian Craig Shemin.
Maybe they should put the Muppisodes on first, and if those work, make an actual series. They could air on Disney Junior like Cars Toons and replace that god-awful Nina Needs to Go! show. (And if you don't know what that is, be glad).
That was funny! I saw the short at a Disney Store in...
I can only read the third kanji (hana) and the last two letters (mita), so I guess they are asking if you can see his nose.
I also watched the movie on DVD, and is it just me, or did they change Mrs. Piggy's mermaid dress during "We're Doing A Sequel".
My parents watched the show as kids, and my mom had a coloring book of the show.
I also think Britt Allcroft was a fan of the show, because in one episode of her animated series Mumfie, the characters are at a circus and see two flying squirrels that look similar to Rocky doing a stunt...
I grew up with the anime, which I rented from the local library. I never was able to find the manga as a kid, as stuff like Tokyo Mew Mew and Mermaid Melody Pichi Pichi Pitch was easier to find. I also have to catch up with the new anime, Sailor Moon Crystal!
I've learned a few interesting things from this site, like how in China, you can't show movies which alter the past, and that a few shows that are popular in America are also popular in other countries.
The photo album cliche in the Mumfie one I posted was actually funny. "You gave him back his teeth, and you don't want me to tell the scary snowman story again?"
Here's a clip show episode from another adult show, Drawn Together:
Here's my list of things that make me feel old:
Zainy Brainy, KB Toys and Blockbuster going out of business. I visited Zainy Brainy on one outlet trip in Riverhead (before they built an outlet center near me 6 years later) and thought it was a cool store, KB was a favorite stop for me when...
Speaking of Nina, the fandom is really ridiculous. One thing I read said they wanted to make a fanfic where Willy Wonka replaced Nana!
Here's another bad CGI Disney Junior short called Sam Sandwich.
The CGI in this show is so awful, that even babies got scared by it!
I try to find the Scarecrow plush doll from Mumfie every day on eBay, and whenever a new result comes up, it's either a DVD I already have or a VHS of something I already have on DVD! I did get lucky once and found a figurine of him, who is sitting here as I type.
RIP, Robin. You were a good man.
Speaking of him, I was surprised to find out that Nina Needs To Go's early morning episodes on Disney got higher ratings than the finale of The Crazy Ones (the show that he was on that got cancelled). It even got higher ratings than SpongeBob!
I've only seen "Sneezin' Season/The Delightful Diamond Mystery". It's a really funny show. It sort of reminded me of many modern cartoons, but was actually good.
Sofia the First does have a huge teenage fanbase, most of them who love either Cerdric or Vivian. I also like that show. If Toon...
I didn't like that movie. It got more tedious as it went on...
I saw a theater playing it a few days ago on vacation to California at something with "Chinese Theater" in the name.
I have found what is probably the worst computer-animated Flash show ever. It's even worse than The Rapsittie Kids or Last Flight of the Champions and it's called "Nina Needs To Go!". Not only does the animation look ugly, but it's plot is...wait for it...a little girl who needs to pee all the...
Are you referring to the YTP where it had the video on Muzzy's monitor replaced by Robotnik yelling some stupid questions, a Gonzo pun, and the line "How do you do? I'm The Go". If so, I've seen that too!
Holy cow. Forget Muzzy, that's the worst CGI show ever!
I agree. They probably should air the block right after Good Night Show, and also include other old PBS shows like Wishbone, Shining Time Station, Mumfie, Tots TV, etc.
