Sam and Friends Book Read our review of the long-awaited book, "Sam and Friends - The Story of Jim Henson's First Television Show" by Muppet Historian Craig Shemin.
Here's a funny one from Donkey Hodie:
"Yes, yes, now...uh, you see, something very important came up...my books! My books need a nap and I gotta tuck them in. They like a lullaby."
-Duck Duck
I used to watch it when I was in 12th grade, before Jeffy became a part of it. Although I'm not into it any more, I remember several funny moments, like the Charleyyy and Friends segment about a pot, Toad showing an inappropiate video in class for Show and Tell, Doofy the Dragon's song about a...
Recently, PBS Kids debuted a new puppet show called Donkey Hodie. It's the second series based on Mister Rogers' Neighborhood after Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood. Several Muppeteers such as Matt Vogel, Joey Mazzarino, Frankie Cordero and Stephanie D'Abruzzo are a part of this project. I've seen...
It looks like Toy Story 4 will soon be the highest-grossing domestic G-rated film, beating the original version of The Lion King! Do you think it can do it?
OMG, I remember watching this as a baby! I confused it for Mister Moose's Fun Time because both shows had singing penguins, but thanks to a PBS bumper I watched, I finally knew that this show was what I watched when I was little. I love the lobster character on this show! Johnny Crawfish has a...
It looks like another celebrity with ties to the Muppets has died recently. Stu Rosen, the voice of Storyteller Fraggle on Fraggle Rock, lost his battle with cancer at the age of 80. At least he can be reunited with Gerard Parkes and Jerry Nelson in heaven.
Another childhood star of mine is gone...first Sean McCann, who played Noah Tomten on The Noddy Shop and the grandpa on Little Bear (I didn't learn of this role of his until his death, which shocked me because I LOVED Little Bear as a kid and would watch this one tape I had of it about winter...
Well guys, remember the curse with films that adapt preschool shows mentioned in this thread? It looks like Dora And The Lost City Of Gold made $17 million this weekend, beating the total domestic grosses of all the preschool show adaptations that have come out so far, meaning its' the highest...
Maybe so there's more focus on the kids. Though there are some other shows that didn't show the parents at first and showed them later, like The Loud House.
It helps that most of the parents watching the new Muppet Babies with their kids grew up with the older one. It's like how many adults make their kids watch Sesame Street or how my parents made me watch Schoolhouse Rock, which I wound up loving.
And the same article said PJ Masks does better in...
Well, I have many good ones:
Anime:
Our Future Selves Know from Love Live! Sunshine!!
We can! Hugtto Pretty Cure!
Ready Smile! from PriPara Season 3
Honorable mention: Ojamajo Carnival! from Ojamajo Doremi
Live-action:
Kirari! Sailor Dream from Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon (2003) [I haven't...
Because it's easy to sing? I also noticed that Finger Family and the Potty Monkey song have the same tune too.
I laughed harder than I should've. But there's actually one of these for Filipino fried chicken chain Jolibee.
By the way, the Elsagate videos still exist in some form:
And now...
Speaking of the FCC those complaints I showed earlier were mostly about ads and not the shows themselves. Don't they know that the cable stations may have placed the ad there and not the channel itself? (This is called local insertion).
You thought that was bad? Check these two pages out!
I like Noddy Shop, but that's crazy. I don't think many people taped it off PBS back then, and you're more likely to find recordings from the UK since it played before the then-popular Tweenies. And this is not the first person who's gone...
At work one day, I spotted what I thought was a kid watching an Elsagate video while waiting in line, but it was actually something that was just as bad that used ElsaGate like animation that was just as annoying:
Now, I knew this was an actual toy a few years back because Amazon would show it...
I want to see this come back to teach a new generation of kids how to read. It makes me sad how most of the older shows are off the air, yet they still re-run Clifford and WordWorld!
DEFUNCTLAND IS AWESOME! I've been hooked every since the Bear episode.
